Chris Mazdzer made history at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, by winning the silver medal in men’s luge. He was the first American ever to medal in that event. Now he’s making history again as the first luger to compete on “Dancing with the Stars.” He’s one of the 10 sports stars who were announced for the upcoming four-week “Athletes” edition of “DWTS” starting on April 30. But will his skills on the luge track translate well to the ballroom? Let’s consider the pros and cons.

Though luge athletes keep their bodies rigid as they hurtle down the track, the sport requires significant coordination and balance in order to maintain control at speeds exceeding 80 miles per hour on a narrow sled. Here are the 10 pro dancers on ‘Dancing with the Stars: Athletes’

You still have to wait until Friday for the contestants, but “Dancing with the Stars: Athletes” has announced the full list of pros in an Instagram post Thursday. Unsurprisingly, the 10 pros are split evenly between men and women.

The pros are Gleb Savchenko, who confirmed his participation last month, Alan Bersten, Sasha Farber, Artem Chigvintsev, Keo Motstepe, Sharna Burgess, Emma Slater, Whitney Carson, Lindsay Arnold and Jenna Johnson.

Prominent L.A. Dentist Allegedly Strangled Mom For 'Financial Gain' in Her Beverly Hills Home

A Los Angeles dentist this week was accused in the strangling death of his 67-year-old mother, whose body was discovered last October inside her Beverly Hills home.

Daniel Yacobi, 36, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a single murder charge, according to a statement from the Beverly Hills Police Department.

The motive, investigators allege, was greed.

Police suspect Yacobi murdered his mother, Violet Yacobi, for “financial gain,” according to the statement.

Yacobi’s attorney could not be reached for comment Friday. Yacobi is being held without bail.

ABC Tweaks Fall Schedule — Which Sunday Show Is Getting Benched?
ABC made a minor tweak to its fall schedule late Friday, announcing that America’s Funniest Home Videos, which was originally slated to return for Season 28 (!) on Sunday, Nov. 26, will now premiere on Sunday, Oct. 8. What’s more, the Alfonso Ribeiro-hosted program will vacate its 7 pm time slot for the first time in… a very long time, and will now air at 8 pm, leading into Season 9 of Shark Tank.

As a result of the move, Season 3 of Anthony Anderson’s To Tell the Truth, which was supposed to air Sundays at 8 pm this fall, has now been benched until midseason.
