Deadpool 2 Will Acknowledge Avengers: Infinity War And Solo: A Star Wars Story

Wade Wilson’s never been one to shy away from breaking the fourth wall, something which became abundantly apparent to those unfamiliar with the Merc with a Mouth in 2016 when Tim Miller’s Deadpool tore up the box office. Whether it was the innumerable pop culture references or goodhearted jabs at his Marvel kin, Ryan Reynolds’ foul-mouthed mutant didn’t play favourites, and according to Deadpool 2 director David Leitch, the meta one-liners will continue.

In an interview with Fandango, Leitch was asked if next month’s sequel contains “any funny references” regarding the fact that Deadpool 2 (May 16th) is “sandwiched between” Avengers: Infinity War (April 27th) and Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 23rd). Though he wouldn’t confirm anything outright, here’s what Leitch teased:

“[laughs] I think we might have a couple comments in the film. That would be fun for people to hear those jokes. They

Deadpool 2 Gets Awesome Comic-Inspired Poster from Original Creator

Deadpool 2 Gets Awesome Comic-Inspired Poster from Original Creator
In addition to the last trailer for Deadpool 2 and pre-sale tickets going on sale today, Rob Liefeld, the comic book writer/artist who originally created Deadpool for Marvel, partnered with Fandango to celebrate the forthcoming release with a poster that pays tribute to the Merc with a Mouth's comic book debut in New Mutants #98. The poster is available to fans who buy pre-sale tickets through Fandango for free, while supplies last.

The new Deadpool 2 poster is a collaboration between Rob Liefeld and cover artist Mike Capprotti. Liefeld's exclusive illustration recreates his cover image for New Mutants #98 in which Deadpool made his very first appearance in 1991. The original illustration is an iconic one and fans are definitely going to enjoy the new spin on the classic comic book cover. The likenesses of Zazie Beetz's Domino, Josh Brolin's Cable, Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool, and Stefan Kapicic's Colossus

The Merc Channels His Inner John Cusack For New Deadpool 2 Promo

“Colossus, I know you’re listening!”

In typically meta fashion, the Merc With a Mouth channels his inner John Cusack for Deadpool 2‘s latest promo, in which a fully-costumed Wade Wilson pleads with Colossus from the grounds of the X-Mansion.

When coupled with today’s blistering final trailer, we can say with some confidence that this scene is lifted from quite early on in the sequel, given that Deadpool 2 appears to largely revolve around Wade Wilson’s quest to assemble the X-Force, protect one peculiar young kid from the clutches of Cable, and chow down a few chimi-fucking-changas along the way.

On a more personal level, though, Ryan Reynolds believe his on-screen anti-hero is a victim of his own hubris. Go figure…

Wade has settled into his new life and new looks and settled into everything else, in particular, his relationship in a pretty positive way. But he

Infinity War and Deadpool 2 Are the Most Anticipated Summer Movies of 2018

Fandango has released a list of summer's most anticipated movies. 2018 is absolutely loaded down with four non-stop months of sizzling entertainment, ranging from massive superhero blockbusters to original family movies. To determine the list, more than 4,500 movie fans voted this month for the one movie they were most looking forward to seeing on the big screen between April 27 and Labor Day. Here's what Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis had to say.

"This summer will deliver an unprecedented selection of movies, offering something for everyone at the multiplex. Fans are particularly looking forward to 'Avengers: Infinity War,' not only the most anticipated film of the summer, but perhaps the decade. It's the culmination of more than a dozen Marvel movies, and the fact that no one has seen the movie yet only adds to the excitement."

Unsurprisingly, Avengers: Infinity War topped the list of most anticipated summer blockbusters. Just

Fandango Survey Crowns Avengers: Infinity War As Summer’s Most-Anticipated Film

Is Avengers: Infinity War summer’s most-anticipated movie? You bet it is. And the latest Fandango poll has just made it official.

After sending out the feelers to more than 4,500 film fans, the online ticket giant has officially crowned Infinity War as the most-anticipated movie of the summer. Which is fitting, really, given it previously named the Marvel epic as the most-anticipated new release of 2018.

For the record, Deadpool 2 came in at second place, after those who voted were asked to pick the one blockbuster they were “most looking forward to seeing on the big screen” between April 27th and Labor Day (September 3rd in the States).

If nothing else, this is further proof that Avengers: Infinity War is practically in a league of its own when it comes to hype and pre-release excitement, and that’s something Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis addressed to mark this recent result.

Rob Liefeld recreates a classic comic book cover with Deadpool 2 poster

Following on from today’s final trailer and new TV spot, we now have a look at a rather splendid new poster for 20th Century Fox’s hotly-anticipated superhero sequel Deadpool 2, which sees the character’s co-creator Rob Liefeld teaming with colourist Mike Capprotti for a recreation of the cover to New Mutants #98, which featured the first appearance of both the Merc with a Mouth and Domino.

“The cover to New Mutants #98 has become an iconic image, and it is the comic that introduced Deadpool and Domino to the world,” states Liefeld. “New Mutants #98 has become a key image in the comic book pantheon, so I thought it would be great to pay homage with the movie cast… and I gotta be honest, man – it turned out better than I imagined!”

The poster has been produced in collaboration with Fandango, and is available through the site when pre-ordering tickets.

Deadpool 2 Trailer Makes Fun of Both DC and Marvel

No one is immune from Deadpool's shade. Ryan Reynolds reprises his role as the potty-mouthed super powered mercenary in Deadpool 2. In a final trailer for the movie, released on Thursday, his character makes fun of both Marvel, the studio behind the film and comic book character, and rival DC Comics. Deadpool is looking to form a "super duper f--ing group," like Marvel's Avengers and DC's Justice League, made up of Domino (Zazie Beetz), Bedlam (Terry Crews), Shatterstar (Lewis Tan) and Weasel (T.J. Miller), to go up against the villain Cable, played by Josh Brolin. The latter star also plays villain Thanos in the upcoming film Avengers: Infinity War. In the trailer for...

‘Deadpool 2’ Final Trailer: Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin In Dark Battle Of Wits & Fists

The latest, and probably last, trailer before the release of Deadpool 2 next month has plenty of action (slo-mo or otherwise) but the big moment for comic fans might be an exchange of insults between new series villain Cable (Josh Brolin) and Ryan Reynolds’ maskless, disfigured Wade. “You're not f*cking hero,” spits Cable, after plunging a knife into Deadpool’s shoulder. “You're just a clown dressed up as a sex toy.” The wounded Wade pained response: “So dark. You sure…

‘Deadpool 2’ Final Trailer Trolls DC Universe and Introduces Your New Favorite Hero, Peter (Video)
Hey guys, “Deadpool 2” has yet another trailer. And guess what? This one is good too.

Billed as the final trailer for the upcoming 20th Century Fox sequel, this few minutes of footage trolls the rival DC Universe and mocks Josh Brolin’s double-duty as Thanos in the “Avengers” films and Cable in the “Deadpool” ones.

Yeah, that makes for two bad guys in two Marvel movies.
