Jake Gyllenhaal Says He Won’t Replace Ben Affleck As Batman

Jake Gyllenhaal, Caped Crusader?

We’d certainly be into the idea, and as you surely know, the 37-year-old star, who is perhaps best known for Donnie Darko, Nightcrawler and Brokeback Mountain, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award, has come into contention as a potential replacement for Ben Affleck.

The Batman actor is said to be eyeing the exit door as Warner Bros. shuffles its deck in preparation for a world beyond Justice League, and though it’s yet to be confirmed outright, Gyllenhaal has been tipped to succeed Affleck as Gotham’s Dark Knight.

But according to Jake, at least, it’s not going to happen. Speaking to Cna Lifestyle, the actor was asked point blank if he’d be replacing Ben, to which he said: “The answer to that question is no.” Doesn’t get more clear cut than that, right? Of course, there’s always

Don Cheadle Teases War Machine’s Role In Avengers: Infinity War

One of the more unsung heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is James Rhodes Aka War Machine. He’s been there since the very beginnings of the franchise (albeit played by Terrence Howard in his first appearance) and has always had his pal Tony Stark’s back in both the Iron Man movies and team-up events such as Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War. But what’s next for Rhodey in Avengers: Infinity War?

While speaking to members of the press during a set visit, Don Cheadle – who’s played Rhodey since 2010’s Iron Man 2 – teased what we can expect from War Machine in Infinity War. Understandably, he’ll be somewhat out of his depth when coming up against Thanos and his Infinity Stones. Fighting all-powerful alien warlords is a long way from his origins as an Air Force pilot, after all. Though just like his fellow heroes,

Suiting Up As War Machine Again Isn’t Easy For Rhodey in Avengers: Infinity War

The upcoming Avengers: Infinity War may be bringing back the great and the good of the McU, but for the likes of Don Cheadle’s Colonel James Rhodes, getting back into superhero mode may be harder than it first looks.

Replacing Terrence Howard as Colonel James “Rhodey ” Rhodes for 2010’s Iron Man 2, Cheadle has since been a big part of Tony Stark’s personal life and heroic adventures as War Machine.

Avengers: Infinity War Set Visit Interview With Don Cheadle

Despite a relatively small amount of screen time in four Marvel Cinematic Universe appearances as Col. James “Rhodey” Rhodes – outside of Iron Man 3Don Cheadle’s had the opportunity to suit up in a variety of cool Iron Man-esque armored suits of his own. Terrence Howard of course first played Rhodey in Iron Man 1 before Cheadle picked up the mantle and ran with it ever since, becoming the ultimate Avengers support character – and certainly the most weaponized.

Pennywise Casts A Shadow Over This Creepy Fan-Made Trailer For It: Chapter Two

Pennywise isn’t expected to return until September of 2019, but in order to sate our appetite for sewer-dwelling clowns, YouTuber Stryder HD has served up the next best thing: a creepy fan-made trailer for It: Chapter Two that indulges in a little wishful thinking.

Sure, Jessica Chastain is said to be circling the role of Beverly Marsh, but this custom trailer goes one step further to cast the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal as Eddie Kaspbrak, Terrence Howard as Mike Hanlon, Patrick Wilson as Bill Denbrough, Infinity War‘s Chris Pratt as Ben Hanscom, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Richie Tozier and, finally, Jon Heder as Stanley Uris, who doesn’t take news of Pennywise’s return too kindly in Stephen King’s literary masterpiece.

If nothing else, it’s an exciting tease of what could be, though without any firm casting details out in the wild – you know, aside from those negotiations

Fox cancels Wayward Pines after two seasons

Fox has announced that it has pulled the plug on M. Night Shyamalan’s Wayward Pines, with the network opting against a third season of the mystery sci-fi drama.

Developed by Chad Hodge and executive produced by Shyamalan, Wayward Pines premiered in 2015, and returned for a second season in 2016.

Given that the show had been off the air for almost 18 months, its future had been uncertain, although Fox entertainment president David Madden offered fans a glimmer of hope last year when he stated that the series wasn’t cancelled, and could possibly return for a third season at some point in the future.

Obviously, the network has since had a change of heart.

Wayward Pines starred Matt Dillon as a U.S. Secret Service Agent investigating the disappearance of two of his colleagues in the mysterious town of Wayward Pines. Also featuring in the cast were Carla Gugino, Toby Jones,

Inside Manhattan Plaza, Where Alicia Keys Was Born and Samuel L. Jackson Worked Security
Larry David lived there next-door to a man named Kenny Kramer (yes, that Kramer), Alicia Keys was born there, Robert De Niro and Al Pacino were always stopping by to visit pal Jack Warden, and Samuel L. Jackson earned a paycheck as the building's first security guard.

It didn't take long for Manhattan Plaza — the massive 1,689-unit federally subsidized apartment complex that opened in June 1977 on a city block between 42nd and 43rd streets at Ninth Avenue — to establish itself as a creative hive filled with actors, singers, musicians, dancers, choreographers and comedians. Other tenants include Terrence Howard;...
