Michael Lange studied Theatre with a concentration on Directing at The George Washington University in The District of Columbia. He spent 8 years in the Advertising business, producing television and radio commercials, and then decided to follow his dream of directing out to Hollywood. Over 260 episodes, two features and two TV Movies later, he still loves his work and is very happy he decided to become a director instead of a doctor which is what his mother wanted. At least when he messes up, no one dies - well, maybe a little bit inside!

His film, Intern (2000), was in the Sundance Film Festival in 2000, and it was a peak experience for him.

He looks forward to continuing his directing, but has now followed another dream, which is writing and producing parody CDs with a Jewish theme.

Michael has also been a double threat as Producer/Director of "Greek", an ABC Family show, Co-Exec Producer/Director on Lifetime's hit show, "Drop Dead Diva" and Co-Exec Producer/Director on "Jane By Design".

He just finished directing a half hour comedy pilot called "Eddie's" which was independently financed. He's also just completed his latest musical, "Fair is Foul" which is the story and characters of Macbeth re-imagined in today's world of Wall Street. And he has a radio show on BrigadeRadio.org called "From the Set with Director Michael Lange" Fun stuff, war stories and some political and social commentary along with his producer/co-host Ethan Dettenmaier.

Makes an appearance in an The X-Files (1993) episode he directed called "Young at Heart." He was closing a bus station locker and then looking around mysteriously after checking out a particularly cute extra. (His wife was NOT amused.) It was part of a contest to gain more viewership. The locker number was the answer.....
He also appeared as a gravedigger in an episode of Hercules that he directed. He had an idea for a scene and the producer said he liked the idea, but only if Lange played the part.
