Arn appoints Dee Antunes as Adelaide sales director

The Australian Radio Network has appointed a new agency sales director to head up the Adelaide team.

Dee Antunes comes to the radio network from group buying site Scoopon where she was state sales manager.

Prior to that Antunes was with Boost Media International as group general manager.

Antunes has over 20 years of local and national radio experience.

Matt Granger, national agency sales said: “I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dee to the role of Adelaide agency sales director. Dee’s extensive leadership and sales experience and passion for radio, Adelaide and the Agency market reinforces the importance of this appointment for the Arn business. Dee has been tasked with further capitalising on our local number one FM position and broader national platform, and achieving our ambitious Adelaide growth objectives, while exceeding the expectations and outcomes for our agency and client partners.”

Stynes loses second job in a month

Stynes, left, has been axed while Swan will continue the show with Jane Hall

Broadcaster Yumi Stynes this weekend saw the completion of one of the most dramatic career reversals in memory.

In the space of three weeks Stynes has gone from being one of the few presenters with a daily radio show and a daily TV show to seeing Ten axe The Circle and being dropped from Mix FM’s national afternoon radio show.

After her television job came to an end with the axing of The Circle, it emerged today that Stynes has been dropped from the nationally networked 3Pm Pick-Up which she co-hosted with former co-star of The Circle Chrissie Swan.

Swan will now co-present the show with Jane Hall who presents the network’s Melbourne breakfast show with her. No mention was made of Stynes in today’s announcement from Arn’s Mix.

Australian Radio Network promotes Rob Iannazzo to Melbourne role

The Australian Radio Network (Arn) has promoted Rob Iannazzo to the role of agency sales director in Melbourne.

The announcement:

Rob has been part of the Arn family for more than nine years, starting his career as an Account Manager in Direct Sales in Melbourne and then most recently as the Agency Sales Director in Adelaide.

Rob has played an integral part in leading the transition and significant growth of the Adelaide Agency team to the consistent number one position in 2012. Rob will continue to work to achieve growth while continuing to strengthen Arn’s performance within the Melbourne market.

Adelaide’s Cruise1323 joins Arn’s Classic Hits network

Adelaide radio station Cruise 1323 has joined the Australian Radio Network’s Classic Hits network extending the network which already includes Sydney’s Wsfm 101.7, Melbourne’s Gold104.3fm and 4KQ693 in Brisbane.

The announcement:

Cruise1323 has been a consistent performer for Arn. In Survey 1 this year, Cruise1323 had an 8.8% share among people 10+ and this move will help the station grow on those strong foundations. Cruise now joins WSFM101.7 (#2 FM) in Sydney, GOLD104.3 in Melbourne and 4KQ693 in Brisbane to round out the network which has a core target audience of 40-54 year olds.
