Exclusive interview with Clare Kramer ahead of Buffy 20th Anniversary Fandom Party at Comic-Con 2017

Tai Freligh interviews Clare Kramer

Clare Kramer is an award-winning actress, entertainment correspondent and pop culture authority, whose career has taken her from the role of vengeful goddess Glory on Buffy the Vampire Slayer to launching her own pop-culture website, GeekNation.com. In the coming year, she can be seen starring in the Lifetime movie The Wrong House and Zer0-Tolerance, due in fall 2017. We asked her about Buffy, Comic-Con and Joyrider, the new movie she’s directing.

For those not in the know, who is Glory and what did you bring to the character?

Glory was a goddess from a hell dimension, who was banished to live on Earth trapped in the body of a human named Ben. It was my first television role, and I couldn’t have asked for a better one! Glory was fun, and determined, and so big and bold but also strong and completely self-confident.

Beauty vs Beast: Foes of the Vampire Slayer

Jason from Mnpp here - I think we can get away with some more Buffy love this week, right? It's 20th anniversary might have been a whole several days ago but seeing as how we made it to 20 years and the internet still cared, and cared deeply (I can't be alone in having had my timeline entirely flooded with Sunnydale Fever), what's a few days?

Thing is we have devoted more "Beauty vs Beast" competitions to the show than any other single piece of entertainment - we've already asked you to choose between Spike & Angel and then also to choose between Faith & Buffy herself. But if there's one thing the Buffyverse isn't lacking - besides quips, chokers, and Xander Harris in a speedo - it's an endless supply of loveable mooks from which to love. So I went with my two favorite villains - Mayor Wilkins (Harry Groener) from Season

‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ Turns 20: Look Back at the Classic Series’ Best Episodes!

‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ Turns 20: Look Back at the Classic Series’ Best Episodes!
Grrr arggg! Into every generation an excellent TV show is born: One show in all the world. The Chosen One.

It’s been 20 years since Buffy Summers, Mr. Pointy, The Bronze, and Giles’ always-smudged spectacles graced our small screens, and the world has never been the same (mostly because she saved it… a lot).

There were plenty of quips (“Out. For. A. Walk. B**ch.”), tears (Spike’s undying devotion, sob), and frights (bunnies, plus demons and stuff), but Buffy the Vampire Slayer was so much more than that.

The Joss Whedon masterpiece created several feminist icons, spoke to addiction struggles, portrayed the first lesbian sex scene on broadcast television, showed that vampires were sexy long before Twilight and made it ok to wear pink leather pants in public… well, sort of.

Whether you were Team Angel, Team Spike or kind of just wanted Giles and Joyce to get together, the show had

Film Review: ‘Tales of Halloween’

Horror omnibuses are frequently a mixed bag. Sometimes they’re not even a bag of tricks, let alone treats, but more like a box of inedible rocks. That, unfortunately, is pretty much the story with “Tales of Halloween,” a collection of 10 macabre miniatures that are disposably diverting at best and execrable at worst, despite the participation of some familiar genre faces and directors. Opened on 12 screens around the country Oct. 16, simultaneous with a VOD/iTunes release, the pic will no doubt make a more lasting impact as junk food for buffs in home formats.

Thinly connected by audio input from Adrienne Barbeau as a sexy-voiced radio DJ, the tales here all take place on All Hallow’s Eve, presumably in the same town. Many unimaginatively revolve around a folk tale that turns out to be horribly true, as the characters discover to their mortal peril. In “Sweet Tooth,” it’s

Kirsten Dunst

A Hollywood star from the age of 12 thanks to her breakthrough role in Interview with the Vampire, Dunst's star was burning brightly when she led the Toros as Torrance Shipman. Two years later, she went on to land her biggest role as Mary Jane Watson in Sam Raimi's three Spider-man films.

In recent years, she's reinvented herself as a critical darling, winning Best Actress at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival for Melancholia,
