Frank Morrone is an award winning sound re-recording mixer who has worked extensively in both film and television. He has received multiple awards and nominations for best sound mixing including seven Primetime Emmy nominations with two wins as well as multiple CAS, Golden Reel and Gemini nominations. His award winning work includes Emmy Awards for Lost (2004) and The Kennedys (2011) as well as a Best Sound Satellite Award for Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow (1999) and a Canadian Screen Award for Best Sound Award for The Book of Negroes (2015).

His television projects include Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (2016),The Family (2016), The Strain (2014), Last Resort (2012), Lost (2004), Copper (2012), The Kennedys (2011), Boss (2011), The L Word (2004), and Sex and the City (1998). He has worked with J.J. Abrams, Guillermo del Toro, Jon Cassar, Shawn Ryan, Sidney Lumet, Mark Gordon, Barry Levinson (I)', Tom Fontana, Jim Henson and Gus Van Sant.

His film work includes collaborations with directors including Ron Howard, Tim Burton, Taylor Hackford, John Singleton, Janusz Kaminski, and Lasse Hallström on projects such as Ransom (1996), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Shaft (2000), Lost Souls (2000)The Cider House Rules (1999) and the Oscar-winning documentary When We Were Kings (1996). He also mixed The Jonas Brothers's Camp Rock (2008), and received a platinum album for the soundtrack.

He began his career mixing music for film scores as well as jazz, rock and country albums. From there, he moved to film and television post production. In 1995, he accepted a position at Todd AO New York, where he also lectured for NYU film school. He moved to Los Angeles in 2004 to work with J.J. Abrams on Lost (2004), and has since mixed several projects for Sony and Disney as well as freelance projects for several other studios.

Frank has collaborated on product development with Avid, Digidesign, McDSP, M-Audio and Blue Microphones and has conducted master classes on mixing and guest lectures at well-known colleges worldwide including USC, Los Angeles Film School, NYU, Full Sail, SCAD and Edinburgh Napier. Also, he has served on Blue Ribbon judging panels for various festivals including Vaughan Film Festival and Jackson Hole Wildlife Festival.

Frank has served as a Governor for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and President of the Motion Picture Sound Editors. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Motion Picture Editors Guild and the Cinema Audio Society. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Recording Academy, Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and SOCAN.
