"A Town Like Alice" with Virginia Mckenna Set in Malaya, Britain and Australia Additional notes :- Was Oscar nominated and winner in 1956, and in the English - Australian world a real favorite. I would rank it alongside "Network" perhaps his finest and "Sunday Bloody Sunday" from an Australian perspective at least!
