Watch a Young Larry David Perform Stand-Up in Exclusive Clip from ‘Miracle on 42nd Street’

Home to Larry David, Giancarlo Esposito, Terrence Howard, Alicia Keys, Angela Lansbury, Alan Menken, Mickey Rourke, Christian Slater, Tennessee Williams, and more, Manhattan Plaza was a social experiment born in the 1970s. Residing on the west side of New York City, it was federally subsidized housing complex for artists and fostered a revitalization in the area, both economically and artistically.

Miracle on 42nd Street is new documentary profiling this special location, and the people involved, and it premieres this weekend at Doc NYC. Directed by Alice Elliott and narrated by Chazz Palminteri, we’re pleased to premiere an exclusive clip from the film, featuring a young Larry David doing stand-up at the building’s talent show in 1978. The Warner Archive Collection has released John Landis’ “Innocent Blood” (1992) in a new, remastered Blu-ray edition. The Blu-ray incorporates two minutes of footage that appeared in overseas prints but were not included in previous U.S. releases. The film opens with a montage of the Pittsburgh skyline after dark, scored with Jackie Wilson’s lush 1960 ballad, “Night.” French vampire Marie (Anne Parillaud, in a lengthy nude scene) sits alone in her hotel room, deliberating on where to find her next sanguinary meal. Sony Pictures Classics has dated Robert De Niro’s “The Comedian” for release on Feb. 3, two days before the Super Bowl.

TWC-Dimension has set an Oct. 21, 2017, release date for the Robert De Niro comedy “The War With Grandpa.”

Dimension had originally planned to open the film six months earlier, but director Tim Hill revealed last month during a presentation at the American Film Market that he would start shooting the movie in February in Toronto.

The War with Grandpa” follows a boy who’s forced to move out of his room when his recently widowed grandfather moves in. With the help of his friends, the boy devises outrageous pranks to make his grandfather surrender the room, but he turns out to be tougher than expected and all-out war ensues.
