This Orange Is the New Black Guard Almost Exclusively Plays Officers of the Law
We've met many corrections officers on Orange Is the New Black, and even more get added to the mix in season six. One of the guards we already knew from past seasons is Co Ryder Blake, played by Nick Dillenburg, whom you probably remember as being Mormon.

Dillenburg only has a handful of credits, and all of them are from TV shows. He made his acting debut as an officer on Law & Order, and we didn't see Dillenburg in anything else for four years until he appeared as a cop again in the show Elementary, starring Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu.

He continued his man-in-uniform tour as an armed guard on Person of Interest. After that, he played a detective on Blue Bloods, a show that another Oitnb character also appeared in.

Following his longstanding role on Oitnb, Dillenburg appeared in the 2017 short The Bracket Theory (and actually

‘Hamilton’ Filmed Performance With Lin-Manuel Miranda Could Hit Big Screen: Report

A week after Netflix announced it will film Bruce Springsteen’s hotter-than-hot one-man Broadway show for streaming in December, a similar – but big-screen – plan reportedly is in the works for Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton.

The Wall Street Journal reports today that unnamed Hollywood studios are bidding for the rights to a filmed performance of Hamilton from 2016 – when Miranda still headed the cast in the title role. The worldwide theatrical rights, WSJ reports, could sell for more than $50 million.

The WSJ cites two unnamed people with knowledge of the deal. According to the article, representatives for the production recently screened the recording for interested buyers.

Among the interested studios, according to the WSJ, are Warner Bros and Twentieth Century Fox. The potential buyers are being asked not to play or stream Hamilton until 2020 or 2021.

A spokesperson for Hamilton told Deadline that neither the production nor Miranda would have “any comment on this at this time.

‘Elementary’ Renewed For Season 7 By CBS

  • Deadline
CBS’ modern Sherlock Holmes series Elementary will see a seventh season. Like with another just renewed veteran drama that had been on the bubble, Criminal Minds, CBS the network would not say whether it would be the series’ final season. There is no word yet on the fate of medical drama Code Black.

Elementary has not been a strong linear performer the last couple of seasons but it remains a major profit generator for CBS with lucrative off-network and international deals.

Last season, Elementary averaged so-so 7.4 million viewers, 1.2 in 18-49 Live+7 in the Sunday 10 Pm time slot. Elementary has off-network and Svod deals with Wgn America, Hulu Plus and broadcast stations that fetch in as much as $3 million total per episode. It is a solid international seller for CBS TV Studios too, in part because of the central character’s global recognition. In May 2016, CBS Corp. CEO Les Moonves used

Elementary: 11 Reasons Why It Still Works

It's elementary why Elementary has succeeded over the past five seasons.

Some viewers would point to the exotic cases that Sherlock and Joan have solved through the years, aided by Captain Gregson and Detective Bell of the NYPD and an assortment of irregulars which Sherlock has recruited.

Of course, an integral part of the series is the authentic, platonic friendship and mutual respect that has developed between Sherlock and Joan, a rare thing between a man and a woman on the TV landscape.

But most important is the colorful cast of characters, some based on Doyle's creations, others drawn up new for Elementary itself.

Since it's been nearly a year since Elementary finished Season 5, an example of the erratic CBS scheduling which has caused the show's ratings to fall in the last couple of seasons, below is a primer covering some of the series' more important characters.

It's a chance

‘State Like Sleep’ Review: Katherine Waterston and Michael Shannon Get Lost in a Dreamy Neo-Noir — Tribeca

A narcotized neo-noir that unfolds with the diverting purposelessness of a forgettable dream, Meredith Danluck’s “State Like Sleep” doesn’t really go anywhere, but it lulls you into enough of a stupor to enjoy the time it takes to get there. Much of the credit for that belongs to “The Bling Ring” cinematographer Christopher Blauvelt, who coats the (supposedly) Belgian locations of this dead-end story with a shimmer that makes every beat feel a little more beguiling than it should. The rest might have to go to Katherine Waterston, whose “Alien: Covenant” bowl-cut gets the rousing curtain call it deserves (this film was shot back in the summer of 2016).

The basic details of the story are simple, though Danluck presents them in a pleasantly disorienting fashion. It starts with a Belgian movie star named Stefan Delvoe (“Game of Thrones” actor Michiel Huisman) giving a television interview to promote the

Benedict Cumberbatch Talks Working With Another Sherlock In Avengers: Infinity War

Fans are exploding with excitement to see every single hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe come together for the first time in Avengers: Infinity War, but the movie also has a special treat for fans of a completely different iconic fictional franchise.

That’s because when Iron Man and Doctor Strange team-up in the film, it’ll mean two separate versions of Sherlock Holmes will be joining forces. As you probably know, Benedict Cumberbatch plays the role in BBC’s Sherlock while Robert Downey Jr. has portrayed the detective twice in Guy Ritchie’s movie series.

While speaking with European site Kinowetter, Cumberbatch was asked about his thoughts on partnering up with a fellow Sherlock in Infinity War. He admitted that it’s a “weird crossover” but reminded his fans that it’s not the first time he’s acted opposite another Holmes, as he’s also worked with the star of CBS’ Elementary,
