“I started doing stand-up comedy when I was 16,” the Girls Trip star, now 38, says in the video. “And my social worker was saying, you know, ‘What do you want to do with yourself Tiffany?’ And I was saying I want to be on stage, you know? She said, ‘No, we’re going to get you on stage alright.

Media Mogul Byron Allen Is Betting Billions on an Empire Anchored by The Weather Channel

Entertainment Studios Motion PicturesByron Allen will take center stage at CinemaCon April 25. He’s scheduled to welcome the National Association of Theatre Owners to the 28,000-square-foot Palace Ballroom for an early breakfast and keynote address.

Unless, you know, he doesn’t.

“I think I’m going to go,” said Allen April 17 from the Culver City set of “Funny You Should Ask.” He produces the gameshow that’s broadcast on his Comedy.TV, one of eight 24-hour networks he owns. That afternoon, he served as audience cheerleader and unofficial director, not only anchoring its quintet of comedian-panelists but also instructing “Baskets” Emmy-winner Louie Anderson and “Saturday Night Live” veteran Jon Lovitz to deliver their set-ups and punchlines again, from the top.

Presuming he does find himself in Vegas, he should find a rapt audience. People want to hear from Allen, if only to figure out what the hell he’s driving at.

Jon Lovitz Partly Blamed Andy Dick for Phil Hartman’s Death

Jon Lovitz wasn’t shy at one point about putting some of the blame for Phil Hartman’s death on Andy Dick. If any of you remember back in 1998 Phil Hartman’s wife Brynn shot him while he slept and then only a short while later committed suicide. She was said to be under the influence and had killed her husband after an altercation during which he’d said he would leave her if he ever saw her doing drugs again. The altercation was caused, in Lovitz’s words, by the efforts of Andy Dick, who’d been seen at a Christmas party with the

Celebrating David Hasselhoff with Hoff-toberfest

Thomas Harris celebrates all things Hasselhoff at Hoff-toberfest…

At this point, David Hasslehoff is more caricature than person. He is Knight Rider, he is Baywatch, and he is the man that –somehow – brought down the Berlin Wall. So it’s of some surprise that, in 2017, he’s having a certain resurgence, appearing in Baywatch and Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

His moment is to be elongated with the release of Killing Hasslehoff, with the Hoff playing the Hoff once more, whose life is threatened by bumbling bar owner Ken Jeong who hopes to off the Hoff to appease loan sharks.

It’s a film clearly built on a single joke and somehow, director Darren Grant has roped in a cast chocked full of those genuinely funny, including Jim Jeffries, Rhys Darby, Ken Jeong and Jon Lovitz. But really, it all means little, as Hasslehoff exists as a joke, and it
