Steven Seagal Is Under Investigation for Allegedly Raping Teen Girl

Steven Seagal Is Under Investigation for Allegedly Raping Teen Girl
The Los Angeles police department has revealed that Steven Seagal is currently under investigation for sexual assault. The news comes after Jenny McCarthy, Julianna Margulies, Portia de Rossi, and other women came forward to share their experiences of sexual misconduct with the Under Siege actor in November of 2017. All of the accusations that were brought up by the aforementioned women happened over 10 years ago, which makes them past the statute of limitations, but it appears that Seagal may have been involved in an incident of sexual assault within the last 10 years.

Two women have reportedly accused Steven Seagal of sexual misconduct, with one of the women, a Mormon claiming she was raped by Seagal as a teenager back in 1993. Regina Simons, now 43, says that she filmed scenes with the actor for the 1994 movie On Deadly Ground and when filming wrapped, he invited her to a party at his home. When Simons arrived,

Matthew Weiner and Louis Ck Didn’t Just Allegedly Harass Women — They Silenced Them
As an avalanche of stories about bad behavior in Hollywood consumes the industry, it’s time to not only question the system that enabled this behavior, but acknowledge the full extent of the resulting damage.

Beyond the physical or psychological damage that such harassment and assault caused its victims, many of these cases impacted careers — stopping some from chasing their Hollywood hopes and dreams all together, and keeping others from pursuing certain jobs because of whom might be attached.

For instance, in the NY Times exposé on Louis C.K.’s long history of sexual misconduct, two of the two women who watched C.K. get naked and masturbate in front of them, writers Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov, told the newspaper that they didn’t go to the police because they were unsure whether or not what he had done was a criminal act.

But beyond whether C.K.

Portia de Rossi Claims Steven Seagal Exposed Himself During an Audition

Portia de Rossi Claims Steven Seagal Exposed Himself During an Audition
Portia de Rossi has come forward via social media to accuse Steven Seagal of sexually harassing her and exposing himself during an audition. Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi's partner of 9 years, has written a supportive tweet in response. Seagal is currently living in Russia with his new best friend Vladimir Putin and has yet to respond to de Rossi's claims or the stack of other accusations that have recently come to light over the past few weeks against the Under Siege actor.

Portia de Rossi took to Twitter to share her experience with Steven Seagal, claiming that he sexually harassed her during an audition. The former star told young de Rossi that it was important to show chemistry on the screen, so he unzipped his leather pants and exposed himself to her. The actress had this to say.

"My final audition for a Steven Seagal movie took place in his office.

Rae Dawn Chong on Why Harvey Weinstein Scandal Is Only ‘Tip of an Ugly Iceberg’ (Guest Blog)
My friend Rae Dawn Chong, who starred in several Hollywood studio pictures in the 1980s like “Quest for Fire” and “Commando,” claims the now-disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein “is only the tip of an ugly iceberg” regarding the industry’s treatment of women. Chong, who used to be represented by one of the most powerful agencies in town, CAA, recalled that she was once sent to an evening meeting with then-movie star Steven Seagal in the 1980s. “9:30 p.m. at the Bel Air hotel — I was shocked at the time,” she said, but the agency excused the late hour and location,

Rae Dawn Chong Compares ‘Soul Man’ Backlash to ‘Birth of a Nation’
Even though the 1986 film “Soul Man” is a lighthearted comedy, actress Rae Dawn Chong sees its similarities to this year’s slavery drama, “Birth of a Nation.” Mainly because both films opened under a cloud of controversy, and both also drew picketers — albeit for different reasons. “Soul Man” was labeled “racist” by the NAACP as its white star C. Thomas Howell donned dark makeup to appear black as part of his character’s ruse to win an African American scholarship at Harvard Law School. “We find the Al Jolson-like portrayal of the main character offensive and trivializing,” the group said when the.

Rae Dawn Chong Blames Spike Lee for ‘Soul Man’ Racial Stigma 30 Years Later
“This is the Eighties! It’s the Cosby decade — America loves black people!” exclaims Mark Watson (C. Thomas Howell) in the 1986 comedy “Soul Man.” The film opened 30 years ago to mixed reviews and some highly publicized controversy. Centered on a white Harvard Law School student who poses as a young black man in order to qualify for a scholarship, “Soul Man” ruffled feathers within the black community. The NAACP publicly denounced the movie as “racist,” and some screenings were picketed. Academy Awards Film Series: Near-Record-Breaking Oscar Loser Far Superior to Wayne Original

'True Grit' 2010: Hailee Steinfeld and Jeff Bridges. 'True Grit' 2010 review: 'Far Superior' to 1969 John Wayne Western I've gotten to the point with the Coen brothers where I just expect something wonderful every time they make a movie. For me, that was the case even with an effort like True Grit. For others, however, it was different. When the Coens announced their plans to adapt Charles Portis' novel, heads turned and were scratched by many. After all, not only were the brothers going to adapt a book, something they had done only once before (twice if you count The Odyssey), but they were going to remake a movie made famous by John Wayne in 1969. To many, especially lovers of Westerns, touching True Grit was sacrilege. But the Coens weren't deterred, and thankfully so. Their adaptation of True Grit is not only far superior to Henry Hathaway's 1969 version, it

All Black Women Horror Anthology, 7 Magpies gets Rae Dawn Chong to Direct

The contemporary resurgence of the horror anthology has come under a bit of scrutiny in its lack of representation in filmmakers, which then led to the now in-production Xx, an all women-directed omnibus featuring Jovanka Vuckovic, Karyn Kusama and more. Still, the black horror filmmaker, and often the black horror fan, can remain overlooked. Which…

Seven African-American female writers and directors (so, 14 total) have joined forces to create the horror anthology film “7 Magpies.” Some of the names are quite well known to our readers, including authors Tananarive Due (“My Soul to Keep”) and Valjeanne Jeffers (“Immortal” series), filmmaker Tiffany D. Jackson (horror short “The Field Trip”), and most notably actress/director Rae Dawn Chong (“The Color Purple”, “The Visit,” “Beat Street”). Yet all of the women involved are significant artists, extending outside of film into the subset of horror...

Commando: Director’s Cut heading to Blu-ray

“Remember, Sully, when I promised to kill you last… I lied!”

Here at Flickering Myth, we’re big fans of the Arnold Schwarzenegger action classic Commando. It is, perhaps, the perfect movie. We love the action, we love the guns, we love the one-liners, we love Arnie, we love the deer feeding scene. We even love that Schwarzenegger can’t even pronounce the name of his daughter correctly (Chenny!). But if there is one thing that we’ve always wanted, it’s a director’s cut.

Well, now we have one.

The UK branch of 20th Century Fox have announced that Commando: Director’s Cut will hit shelves on May 4th. Check out the artwork below and head on over to Amazon to pre-order:
