Robert Carradine was born on March 24, 1954 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA as Robert Reed Carradine. He is an actor and producer, known for Revenge of the Nerds (1984), Escape from L.A. (1996) and The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003). He was previously married to Edith (Edie) Mani.

Son of John Carradine, younger half-brother of David Carradine, Bruce Carradine and Michael Bowen. Younger brother of Keith Carradine and Chris Carradine.

When Revenge of the Nerds (1984) premiered on U.S. cable in 1985, a behind-the-scenes short for the making of Skolnick's laughter was Carradine breathing some gas before the takes.
On March 12, 2015, TMZ reported that Carradine was involved in a serious automobile accident. He was rushed to the hospital. His wife was also injured in the accident.
His father had English, with distant Irish and Dutch, ancestry, and was a direct descendant of Dutch diamond merchant Kiliaen van Rensselaer, who settled in Rensselaerwyck, N.Y., now identified as Albany, N.Y. His maternal great-grandfather was biochemist Max Henius, who was born in Denmark, to a Polish Jewish family. His mother's other ancestry was Danish, German and Swiss-German.
The Film Production section of Variety, Aug 4, 1982, shows the film "Beginners" started filming July 6, 1982, in New York under direction of Michael Gottlieb, for Embassy Pictures, starring Elizabeth McGovern, Jane Alexander, Robert Carradine, filming suspended July 23, 1982. No evidence the film was ever completed.
