Amazon Confirms ‘Preacher’: Season Three For June – First Images Revealed

Amazon has today announced that the third series of the critically-acclaimed supernatural show, Preacher, will return to Prime Video in the UK this June, with the first episode launching on Monday 25th June and new episodes following weekly. Three first-look images have been released ahead of the new series’ return, which you can check out below.

Based on the popular cult comic book franchise, Preacher tells the absurdly twisted tale of Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a small-town preacher inhabited by an angel-demon spawn that gives him the power to make people do his bidding, Tulip (Ruth Negga), his volatile true love, and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), a 119-year-old Irish vampire.

In series two, after Jesse accidentally discovered that God is absent from Heaven, the three of them set out on a road trip to find Him, all while being hunted by the Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish), an unstoppable, mythical killer from Hell.

Jonny Coyne joins Preacher as Allfather D’Aronique

Deadline has revealed that actor Jonny Coyne (Alcatraz, The Blacklist) has signed on for a key recurring role in season three of AMC’s Preacher.

Coyne is set to play Allfather D’Aronique, described as ” physically large, overweight, and a revolting slob, but also potentially the most powerful man in the world. He is quietly sinister with eyes that see more than he says.”

Coyne joins fellow new additions Betty Buckley (Split) as Gran’ma, Colin Cunningham (Falling Skies) as Tc, Jeremy Childs (Nashville) as Jody and Liz McGeever (Homeland) as Christina.

Based on the comic book series by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, Preacher stars Dominic Cooper as Reverend Jesse Custer, Ruth Negga as Tulip and Joe Gilgun as Cassidy the Vampire. The third season is scheduled to get underway on AMC later in the year.

Filming underway on Preacher season 3, new cast members announced

AMC has announced that filming on the third season of its comic book adaptation Preacher, with the show also adding four new additions to the cast in Betty Buckley (Split), Colin Cunningham (Falling Skies), Jeremy Childs (Nashville) and Liz McGeever (Homeland).

Per AMC, here are the official character descriptions for the new additions:

Betty Buckley joins the cast as “Gran’ma” – A spiritist with true powers, who can cast spells and even bring back the dead (for a price). Pay the fee or pay with your soul to feed Gran’ma’s thirst for eternal youth. She is weathered, tough, and mean, but also intelligent beyond measure. She’s Jesse’s only living family and she loves him.

Colin Cunningham joins the cast as “Tc” – A man born of the bayou and the loyalcaretaker and soldier for Gran’ma. Weasely and wiry, he’ll gladly tell you about his perversions

Blood Drive emcee Colin Cunningham is set to join the third season of AMC’s dark drama Preacher.

The actor, whose TV credits also include Falling Skies, will play Gran’ma’s (played by Betty Buckley) caretaker Tc, according to Deadline. Cunningham joins the Season 3 cast along with Buckley (Eight Is Enough), Jeremy Childs (Nashville) and Liz McGeever in recurring roles.

Preacher was renewed back in October, to premiere sometime in 2018.

Barry Finally Meets The Thinker In New Arrowverse Synopses

The next load of episode synopses for Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow have arrived. This batch of installments should be important ones, too, as they’re for the week beginning November 20th Aka the week before all four Arrowverse shows crossover for the “Crisis on Earth-x” team-up event.
