With the premiere of American Horror Story: Apocalypse set to get underway next month, executive producer Ryan Murphy has announced that series alumni Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and Stevie Nicks are all set to appear in the upcoming crossover between Murder House and Coven.

Kathy Bates will play Ms. Meade, Emma Roberts will return as the nasty Madison Montgomery, Adina Porter is Dinah Stevens, Leslie Grossman is Coco Saint Pierre Vanderbilt, and Billie Lourd is Mallory.

Academy Award winning actress Jessica Lange was recently confirmed to return after being absent in the anthology series since Freak Show, and will return as her Murder House character Constance Langdon.

New American Horror Story Promo Administers Another Dose Of Madness

While we bide our time in anticipation of American Horror Story‘s first full trailer for season 8, another bite-sized promo has tumbled off the FX production line. And it’s every bit as weird and wonderful as we’ve come to expect from a story titled “Apocalypse.”

At only 10 seconds in length, there’s very little content to examine, but the haunting imagery and Biblical destruction jive with the show’s ongoing marketing campaign, which is designed specifically to welcome the end of days. There’s also a timely reminder of when FX plans to trigger the apocalypse – Wednesday, September 12th, meaning we’re now little over a month away from another bout of insanity.

But there’s method behind the madness. As promised, Ryan Murphy and his team plan to draw elements (and characters!) from both “Murder House” and “Coven” to deliver a TV crossover that’s been in

The Clock Is Ticking On New American Horror Story: Apocalypse Poster

Trust American Horror Story to turn an everyday household object – like, say, an hourglass – into a demonic talisman not of this world.

Such is the key art for the show’s eighth season. Aptly titled “Apocalypse,” next month’s installment promises to be a dark and brooding exploration of armageddon, and I’d be lying if I said yesterday’s teaser didn’t send a shiver down my spine.

Blending the surreal with the sinister, the footage itself was teeming with potential story clues, and the fact that FX has now unleashed another piece of key art for American Horror Story: Apocalypse tells us that the first full trailer should be online in the coming days.

Until then, here’s a little appetizer:

How Joan Collins Landed Her Role on ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’
Good things come to those who wait — and who also have a ticket to the hottest Academy Awards after-party in town. At least in Joan Collins’ case, as the actress landed her role on the coming season of “American Horror Story” just by being in the right place at the right time.

“When I first saw it, I went to my agent and said, ‘I love this show. Can you get me a role in it?’ Nothing,” Collins told Town & Country in an interview published in the September issue. “Then I met Ryan Murphy at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, and we had a lovely conversation, but I really didn’t think much more of it. Two weeks later we go to see Barbra Streisand at the PaleyFest, and I didn’t know Ryan was going to be interviewing her. We go backstage afterward to see Barbra, and Ryan says,

Watch the “Hourglass” Teaser Video for American Horror Story: Apocalypse

Brimming with eerie imagery, the first official teaser video for American Horror Story's eighth season has arrived.

Titled American Horror Story: Apocalypse, the eighth season of the horror anthology series will premiere on FX on Wednesday, September 12th.

American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy previously tweeted that the eighth season will be a crossover between the first season's Murder House story and the third season's Coven theme. ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ releases ‘Hourglass’ trailer that teases Cody Fern’s antichrist character [Watch]

Time is running out. That’s the theme of the first official “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” teaser trailer released by FX on Monday, August 6. In the “Hourglass” video (watch above), we focus on a baby fetus connected via an umbilical cord to a black heart that beats and then explodes into a mushroom cloud. The fetus symbolizes Michael Langdon, the antichrist child from “Ahs: Murder House” who’s all grown up in “Ahs: Apocolypse” and will be played by Australian actor Cody Fern.

Things Get Seriously Creepy In The First Teaser For American Horror Story Season 8

Things are about to get seriously creepy on American Horror Story – even by the show’s own lofty standards.

With little over four weeks to go until the premiere of season 8, FX has rolled out a suitably terrifying first-look teaser for its cult anthology series, which is here to signal the end of days.

There’s an unborn child at the mercy of a heart that’s rotten to the core, before the camera sweeps up to a bird’s-eye view of a city being annihilated by what appears to be some form of nuclear explosion. Cut the moment when two humans melt into the ash, before a very familiar hand glides into frame.

All of this is designed to establish the tone and theme of FX’s “Apocalypse,” and the fact that Ahs veterans have gone on record about the “insane” eighth season leads us to believe that Ryan Murphy

‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ Trailer: ‘Hourglass’ Clues Include Nukes, Fetus, Scorpions

With a two-word description (or is that a warning?) on its YouTube page, FX Networks posted a teaser trailer for the upcoming American Horror Story: Apocalypse, and it’s filled with plenty of creepy images and clues.

We already know that the eighth Ahs season will be a mash-up of the “Murder House” and “Coven” years and will see the return of Jessica Lange. But the teaser hints at some even darker stuff, like nuclear devastation and maybe, just maybe, the anti-christ.

Here’s how it goes: The trailer, titled “Hourglass,” starts with a fetus in the top half of the title object, with an umbilical cords connected to a dark, beating heart in the glass’ bottom half. Then there’s a big nuclear explosion and mushroom cloud (shades of last year’s Twin Peaks?), followed by the image of two human (or human-like) creatures sleeping (?) in a big crater.

‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ Releases Eerie First Trailer (Watch)

  • Variety
The world is officially ending. FX took to Twitter Monday to debut a new teaser trailer for the eighth chapter of “American Horror Story,” titled “Apocalypse.”

True to “Ahs” form, the teaser features an array of disturbing images, starting with an hourglass womb incubating a demonic infant, followed by quick shots of skulls, scorpions, nuclear explosions, and the satanic symbol.

The network previously announced that the eighth season of Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology series will be a crossover between seasons 1 and 3 of the show, respectively named “Murder House” and “Coven.” As such, the unborn child depicted in the teaser likely represents Michael Langdon, the devil offspring of sadistic teen Tate Langdon (Evan Peters) and his rape victim Vivien Harmon (Connie Britton) — two key players in the show’s inaugural season.

FX has released the trailer for “American Horror Story” season 8, which will be known as “Apocalypse.” Jessica Lange is returning to Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology for the first time since its fourth season, with longtime co-star Sarah Paulson directing the episode in which she graces viewers with her presence; neither are in this preview, but you’re welcome to watch it below anyway.

Murphy revealed in June that this season will be a crossover between the show’s first (“Murder House”) and third (“Coven”) seasons. At the Television Critics Association summer tour, Paulson and executive producer Alexis Martin Woodall revealed some salient details about what this “Apocalypse” holds in store for viewers:

“I’m just going to say one thing: The story begins with the end of the world, and then our world begins,” said Woodall. “It starts in the real world. It’s very tangible, and it’s a familiar hammock.

Jessica Lange Returning For American Horror Story: Apocalypse

Hot on the heels of the fantastic news that FX has renewed Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story for a ninth and tenth season, we’re now learning that Jessica Lange will be returning for the new run, which is titled Apocalypse.
