Simon Pegg says worrying about toxic fans is “a waste of time”

Simon Pegg, one of the stars of the upcoming Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Star Trek alum, has provided his thoughts on toxic fandom.

Toxic fans have been in the news quite a lot of late, particularly pertaining to the two latest Star Wars films. Simon Pegg has been a part of some major franchises in his time, particularly Mission: Impossible and Star Trek but says that at least with Mission: Impossible he’s stayed clear of such fans:

Speaking to Comic Book Movie, Pegg said: “I’ve never experienced it with Mission: Impossible fans and I think it’s because Mission: Impossible doesn’t really have those schisms within its fanbase. I don’t think it has a fanbase in that same respect that comic book movies and science fiction does. I think maybe it’s not susceptible or vulnerable to that kind of divisiveness.”

In any case, Pegg also

Mission: Impossible – Fallout director explains why Jeremy Renner isn’t in the movie

Christopher McQuarrie, director of Mission: Impossible – Fallout, has explained why Jeremy Renner didn’t return for the movie.

Fallout is proving quite the hit with critics, with many praising it as one of the best action films in recent memory. Tom Cruise and other familiar faces are returning for the film but Jeremy Renner is a notable absence.

McQuarrie, while speaking to Digital Spy, explained why Renner isn’t returning to the role of William Brandt after Ghost Protocol and Rogue Nation:

“At the time, when the movie started, we didn’t really have a screenplay, so it was very difficult for us to say who would be in the movie for how long and on what days, and he had a commitment to Marvel. So there was just simply no predicting. If we had a finished script, we would have been able to say, ‘Yes, this will work and

Final ‘Mission: Impossible Fallout’ Featurette Proves Tom Cruise Wants To Die

Paramount Pictures has unveiled a new featurette for ‘Mission: Impossible Fallout‘, further proving that star/producer Tom Cruise has a death wish. The film is a little over two weeks from hitting theaters, and what is presumably the final featurette showcasing the insane stunts in the film has been released. ‘Mission: Impossible‘ is a franchise that has always staked it’s name on showcasing tom cruise in dangerous situations, with the actor doing things for real. Although we’ve seen sneek peeks into several ‘Mission: Impossible Fallout‘ stunts, it turns out that Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie have decided to up the ante by including not one–but five–major stunts in the film.

The five major stunts in the film–“The Long Line”, “The Downward Spiral“, “The Motorcycle Chase”,”The Rooftop Jump” and “The Halo Jump“–would be showstoppers in their own right, but it’s the “Long Line

Christopher McQuarrie Explains Jeremy Renner’s Absence From ‘Mission: Impossible — Fallout’

Over the years, fans have come to love the cast members of the “Mission: Impossible” films. Leading the way is the duo of Tom Cruise and Ving Rhames, who have been there since the beginning. And in the later films, they’re joined by Simon Pegg and Rebecca Ferguson. However, if you’ve been watching all the trailers and TV spots for the upcoming “Mission: Impossible — Fallout” and wondered why something was missing, it’s because the latest film is noticeably absent of any Jeremy Renner.

Tom Cruise Breaks Bones in New Mission: Impossible - Fallout Stunts Featurette

Tom Cruise Breaks Bones in New Mission: Impossible - Fallout Stunts Featurette
Prepare for the biggest boldest stunts in any Mission: Impossible movie yet. Paramount Pictures has unveiled a stunts featurette for Mission: Impossible - Fallout where director Christopher McQuarrie, the stunt team and Tom Cruise lay out the most dangerous feats they accomplished in the new movie.

Back in January, it was widely reported that 56-year-old actor, Tom Cruise broke his foot while attempting a roof jump stunt in Mission: Impossible - Fallout and according to the featurette it looks like that footage actually ends up in the final cut of the movie. Cruise has notoriously been known for doing his own stunts in the Mission: Impossible movies wherever he's allowed to keep in tact any authenticity. Beyond the roof jump it looks like there are plenty more juicy stunts the actor risked life and limb all for our cinematic experience.

‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ Review: Tom Cruise Runs, Jumps, Flies – and Delivers

‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ Review: Tom Cruise Runs, Jumps, Flies – and Delivers
If impossibly fabulous stunts are all that you want out a summer movie, Mission: Impossible – Fallout would be a dream come true for action junkies. Hell, it still is, despite a convoluted plot that makes this mission virtually impossible to follow. At 56, and so not looking it, Tom Cruise is back as Imf (Impossible Mission Force) undercover agent Ethan Hunt – and in the running, jumping, climbing, diving, flipping, fighting shape of his life. And as the last few M:i movies, that’s Cruise putting his ass on the line; witness

Review: Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018)

Tom Cruise is back as the super-spy Ethan Hunt for the sixth time in the most thrilling and action packed Mission: Impossible film yet.

In a direct sequel to Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015), Ethan Hunt and his all-star team of Imf operatives are once again trying to save the world from nuclear armageddon in returning writer-director Christopher McQuarrie’s action opus of paranoid intelligence agencies, high-wire stunts and of course rubber masks. Famed for his daredevil streak, Tom Cruise without a doubt proves he is still Hollywood’s leading action man in a gripping spy thriller that explores dark and gritty territory, but one that doesn’t mind having a bit of fun along the way. Mission: Impossible Fallout the sixth entry in the Mission: Impossible franchise is a simply dizzyingly brilliant action masterpiece.

The first Mission: Impossible (1996) hit cinemas twenty-two years ago. Tom Cruise was thirty-four years old, and

Second Opinion – Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018)

Mission: Impossible – Fallout, 2018.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie.

Starring Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Cavill, Sean Harris, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett and Alec Baldwin.

Synopsis:

Ethan Hunt must deal with a returning terrorist villain, a new group of zealots and an interfering CIA operative in his latest very improbable mission.

Being a film critic is the best job in the world – obviously. Sometimes, though, it’s easy to lose sight of that. Sitting through the latest noisy installment in the Transformers franchise, or enduring a comedy that’s about as funny as a Brexit white paper, is enough to make even the most devoted cinephile question their career decisions. Thank goodness, then, for movies like Mission: Impossible – Fallout. It’s a stupid, ridiculous, shlocky romp so enjoyable that it restores every lost iota of faith in cinema to amaze, enthral and excite. Not bad for the sixth

Mission Impossible Fallout Premiere Interviews: Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Cavill & more

It was a busy evening yesterday in Central London as the arrival of the Orange Overload was tempered with the thrilling red carpet unfurling for one of the biggest films of the year. Mission Impossible Fallout is the sixth big screen Mi film, and it has drawn rave reviews. It is one of the rare instances of a film series growing in scale and confidence over the years and much of that is down to the stewardship of Tom Cruise in the leading role.

Cruise returns with his high tech gadgets and death-defying stunts for Mission Impossible Fallout, which sees Tom Cruise reunite with director Christopher McQuarrie for the sixth outing of the series which also stars Superman Henry Cavill (and his moustache), Shaun of the Dead’s Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris, Angela Bassett, The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin, Wes Bentley and Frederick Schmidt.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout tracking franchise best opening weekend

Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt returns for his latest impossible mission later this month, and according to tracking estimates, the spy sequel Mission: Impossible – Fallout is looking to set a domestic opening weekend record for the franchise.

Box office projects for Fallout are suggesting that the film is looking at a North American opening weekend of $60 million, although other estimates range from between $48 million to $65 million.

The tracking numbers came out prior to the film’s review embargo lifting, and given the high praise it is receiving [read our ★★★★★ review here], it’s certainly possible that the sixth entry in the series could exceed those projections.

‘Mission Impossible: Fallout’ Review: Dir. Christopher McQuarrie (2018)

Mission Impossible Fallout review: Christopher McQuarrie is back for his second shot at directing an M:i movie, and the stakes have been raised even higher.

Mission Impossible Fallout review by Kat Hughes.

Mission Impossible Fallout review

Ethan Hunt returns for his sixth movie mission. This time he is once again face-to-face with Sean Harris’ Solomon Lane. He also has the added inconvenience of a CIA chaperone in the form of the moustache-endowed Henry Cavill’s Walker. The plot sees Hunt and his trusty team of sidekicks Benji (Simon Pegg) and Luther (Ving Rhames) trot around the globe in a bid to save the world. This time they have to try and take down Lane once and for all, and recapture the small matter of three plutonium weapons that have fallen into questionable hands.

Let’s face it though, by now, the sixth film in this franchise, you’re not watching

Mission Impossible: Fallout Review: A Jaw-Dropping Action Juggernaut

Mission Impossible: Fallout Review: A Jaw-Dropping Action Juggernaut
Mission: Impossible - Fallout is going to blow audiences out of their chairs. The sixth installment of the franchise is an action juggernaut. Christopher Mcquarrie, who also wrote and directed Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, returns with rocket fuel in his veins. He raises his own bar with a beautifully shot, absolutely epic adventure. McQuarrie threads the films together, bringing back bygone characters to a new narrative. His story adds feeling to the bullets and beatdowns. Tom Cruise chose the right man to helm the Mission Impossible ship.

Two years after Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his Imf team captured Solomon Lane (Sean Harris), a splinter faction of his Syndicate emerges. The Apostles are anarchists bent on nuclear terrorism. Led by a shadowy figure, they have seemingly infiltrated the Us intelligence apparatus. When stolen, weapons grade plutonium hits the black market; the Imf must get to it before the Apostles. But

Movie Review – Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018)

Mission: Impossible – Fallout, 2018.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie.

Starring Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Cavill, Sean Harris, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett, Alec Baldwin, and Sian Brooke.

Synopsis:

Two years have passed since Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) prevented the Syndicate from destroying Imf, but as with all terrorist organisations, a new faction has emerged into the world of international espionage, bringing with it some familiar faces, and giving Hunt little choice but to accept this mission or deal with catastrophic consequences.

Few could have imagined that the sixth installment in a twenty-two year old franchise would not only light the fuse on the summer, but be both the best Mission of the series, and one of the standout action films of this or any other year.

Some might call it impossible, but once you’ve witnessed the giddy brilliance of the best close-combat fight sequence not involving an amnesiac agent,
