Despite the fact that it's been a staggering 41 years since the actor starred in Saturday Night Fever, it's clear he hasn't lost an ounce of his mojo. Check out the video above to see John's dancing! Ok, so clearly his grooves are a bit more dad-like than debonair, but we still love him and we're not the only ones. 50 Cent took to Twitter shortly after John's guest appearance. "Me and John Travolta partying," the "Just a Lil Bit" artist gushed. "l swear l only came out here because of him." Musical artist Pitbull was originally supposed to perform, but after falling ill, 50 stepped in. 'Grease' Star Didi Conn Reveals John Travolta Had a Crush on Olivia Newton-John During the Movie's Filming

Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson were the perfect pair in Grease! The iconic movie tells the story about a high school couple who struggle to make their relationship work after they fall madly in love with one another over the summer. In the beloved film, Olivia Newton-John famously played good-girl Sandy and John Travolta portrayed Danny, a grease-loving bad boy. This year, the film turns 40 and in honor of the anniversary, Grease star Didi Conn (aka Frenchy!) dished on some big behind-the-scenes secrets from the 1978 musical. In a new interview, Didi revealed that John was attracted to Olivia during the movie's shoot. "Oh yeah, [he did like her]. What was so much fun was that most of us were older than the characters we were playing so we just stayed in character all day long. So there was an ongoing improvisation happening so the flirting… was fine. It was the context of the characters and the storyline,

6 Of The Best ‘Back To School’ Films

Melissa McCarthy is back on our screens in Life of The Party, playing a middle-aged mother returning to college in order to complete her degree after her husband abruptly asks for a divorce. To celebrate, we look back at the best Back to School Films to grace our screens:

The Breakfast Club

The first of many John Hughes’ classics, ‘The Breakfast Club’ focuses on the more disciplinary side of school and throws five teenagers from different cliques together one Saturday for all-day detention.

Not only does it play up the typical high school stereotypes in each of the film’s lead roles, it twists them in a way that blurs the lines between the supposedly disparate personalities.

The film’s cult status is heavily referenced in 2012’s hit-film ‘Pitch Perfect’, where it is the first film the lead character Beca can watch all the way through, and moves her to tears.

Olivia Newton-John “Would Consider” A Return To ‘Grease’

As we all know, Grease celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, and the original cast has been out and about to promote a limited re-release in cinemas Stateside. Simon Thompson over at Forbes caught up with Sandy herself, Olivia Newton-John to talk to her about her iconic role, and even asked her thoughts to a potential follow-on to the original movie.

Thompson asked whether she would be up for a return to either Grease or Xanadu?

I think it’s a bit late now,” Newton-John said. “What would you do? Put us in a nursing home? I can’t imagine that working now but you never know what someone could come up with. If there was a great idea then, of course, we would consider it, or at least I would. If John was up for it then I think I would be too but we couldn’t do it without each other.

'When you grow up your heart dies': how the coming-of-age film got smart

From Pretty in Pink to Dirty Dancing and Say Anything - Hadley Freeman describes the emotions that got her hooked on films about growing up

•Sign up for Film Today and get our film team’s highlights of the day

Like Liam and Chris Hemsworth, the teen movie and the coming-of-age movie are easily confused but extremely different propositions. The teen movie is a celebration of teen-ness: the tribes, the slang, the annoying parents. The coming-of-ager is a more soulful phenomenon: yes, it looks at teen life, but something deeper about the human spirit is revealed, and just because it might happen on a prom dancefloor doesn’t in any way diminish the epiphanical uplift. Put it this way: with a teen film what you remember is the funny teen stuff, with a coming-of-age film you remember the emotions.

Both the teen movie and the coming-of-age movie came of age in the 1980s,

Terror Nullius review – dazzling, kinetic, mishmashed beast of an Australian film

One part revisionist documentary, one part LSD-infused YouTube compilation video, Soda_Jerk’s controversial film shatters old narratives

Remember the scene from the original Mad Max, when a wounded Max Rockatansky lies on the road and Nicole Kidman from BMX Bandits arrives and jumps over him? Remember how Olivia Newton-John from Grease, glammed up in a leather jacket and skin-tight black pants, observed this interaction from the side of the road while smoking a cigarette?

Remember how one of the cars in Mad Max was destroyed by a group of angry women, including Lucy Fry from the Wolf Creek TV series and Jacqueline McKenzie from Romper Stomper? Remember how Essie Davis from The Babadook throws a match on the vehicle while Toni Collette and Rachel Griffiths from Muriel’s Wedding laugh as it goes up in flames?

Paramount Dedicates Building to Pioneering Director Dorothy Arzner

Arzner: IMDb

With 20 feature credits to her name, Dorothy Arzner is the most prolific female director of all time. History has neglected to give the trailblazing filmmaker her due, but Paramount recently honored the late talent. The studio has dedicated its Dressing Room building on Melrose Ave to Arzner. “Paramount reserves this honor for the most respected of its industry professionals, and Arzner is in excellent company on the lot with other edifices named after such female legends as Lucille Ball, Clara Bow, Marlene Dietrich, Edith Head, Sherry Lansing, Carole Lombard, Mary Pickford, Gloria Swanson, and Mae West,” Deadline reports.

Born in 1897, Arzner decided to pursue a career in the business after visiting a film studio. “I remember making the observation, ‘If one was going to be in this movie business, one should be a director, because he was the one who told everyone else what to do,” she recounted.

How footage from Grease and The Cannonball Run wound up in Ik+

Ryan Lambie Mar 5, 2018

What do Grease, The Cannonball Run and 80s fighting game Ik+ have in common? Early performance capture...

These days, things like realistic animation and performance capture are a common sight in videogames - games as varied as L.A. Noire, The Last Of Us and Beyond: Two Souls all use mo-cap and actors to create their uncannily lifelike character movements. But 30 years ago, squeezing smooth, convincing animation into a computer was a far trickier proposition.

For its time, the 1987 fighting game International Karate + (often abbreviated to Ik+) looked stunning. Designed by British programmer Archer MacLean, and a sequel to his own International Karate, it allowed one or two players to fight one another in a fast, smooth virtual tournament. Although its design was inspired by earlier games of its type, including Data East's Karate Champ
