Before ‘Dancing with the Stars: Athletes,’ Johnny Damon was fired by Donald Trump on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’
Baseball star Johnny Damon has just been cast on “Dancing with the Stars: Athletes,” but he’s no stranger to reality television. While sports fans know Damon as a World Series champion with the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees, reality TV devotees recognize him as being fired by Donald Trump on “Celebrity Apprentice.”

Damon came in fifth place on what turned out to be Trump’s final season hosting the show in 2015; Trump was later replaced by Arnold Schwarzenegger when he ran for President of the United States. While Trump ultimately chose TV personality Leeza Gibbons as the winner of “Celebrity Apprentice,” Damon still earned high marks during his tenure on the show.

Syfy’s Sharknado series to end with Sharknado 6

Syfy scored a major success back in 2013 with its rather ridiculous sci-fi disaster comedy Sharknado, with the made-for-tv movie spawning a cult franchise which has so far extended to four sequels in Sharknado 2: The Second One, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!, Sharknado: The 4th Awakens and last year’s Sharknado 5: Global Swarming.

We found out last month that a sixth entry is in the works for this year, reuniting series stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Cassie Scerbo and Vivica A. Fox as well as director Anthony C. Ferrante. And, according to TV Line, the as-yet-untitled Sharknado 6 will see Syfy bringing the curtain down on the series and serve as the final instalment in the campy franchise.

With Sharknado 5: Global Swarming ending with Ziering’s Fin wandering Earth alone after it had been destroyed, the sixth movie will see him embarking on a quest to save the world and resurrect his family.

Sharknado 6 Will End the Franchise

Sharknado 6 Will End the Franchise
All good things must come to an end. And by the same logic, all ridiculous but somehow enduring things must also come to an end. With that, the Sharknado franchise is being put out to greener pasture. SyFy has decided to end the long-running B-movie series after the upcoming Sharknado 6. But they're going to go out with a bang, as the final installment is going to jump to new levels of ridiculous by introducing time travel into the mix. So fans of Sharknado still have one extra insane adventure to look forward to.

There's no exact word on why the network is calling it quits after Sharknado 6, but our guess is because they've already made five other Sharknado movies and they're surprisingly just now running out of ideas. The fact that such a truly campy idea made it this far is impressive. So, the question is, what are

Vivica A. Fox Remembers How Uma Thurman Helped Her Survive Tarantino’s Grueling ‘Kill Bill’ Training

Vivica A. Fox Remembers How Uma Thurman Helped Her Survive Tarantino’s Grueling ‘Kill Bill’ Training
Quentin Tarantino fans know Vivica A. Fox as the assassin Vernita Green who goes head-to-head with Uma Thurma’s Bride in a bloody smackdown in Green’s suburban home. Fox’s scene opens “Kill Bill” with a bang, and the actress looks back on the making of the martial arts epic in her new book, “Every Day I’m Hustling.” Time has released an excerpt from the memoir in which Fox gets brutally honest about auditioning for Tarantino.

Before Fox was even able to properly audition, she had to meet Tarantino first to see if he liked her. The two had a 15 minute interview at a coffee shop where Tarantino said he first realized Fox could be Vernita Green after he saw her on the DVD cover of “Two Can Play That Game.”

“Quentin loves telling stories, and if he likes you, oh, he is going to talk,” Fox remembers of their first meeting.
