The more the merrier!

Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus were seen going out to dinner with the producer’s parents in Santa Monica, California, on Saturday night.

The Justice League actor, 45, dressed casually for the family outing, wearing a leather jacket, dark t-shirt, jeans and sneakers. Shookus, 38, also opted for a low-key ensemble, wearing a light pink sweater, a pair of ripped jeans and white heels.

According to an onlooker, the whole group enjoyed a two-hour dinner while sitting on the patio at Cassia, a restaurant that serves Southeast Asian cuisine.

“Ben was in a great mood,” the eyewitness tells People of the outing.

Richard Armitage auditioned for Batman in the Dceu, open to replacing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine

When it was first announced that Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel would be joined by the Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a host of actors such as Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling and Wes Bentley were brought up as possible contenders to succeed Christian Bale before Ben Affleck was announced as securing the role.

Well, it seems we can officially add Richard Armitage to the list of actors under consideration, as the Ocean’s 8 star has revealed to Digital Spy that he tested for the role and made it far through the casting process.

“There was a little flurry once upon a time just after I’d come out of The Hobbit where I auditioned for Batman,” said Armitage. “It was at the same time that Christian Bale was leaving, there were about five or six actors that were in line for that character, so I

Deleted Justice League Footage Shows Wonder Woman Fighting A Parademon

Admittedly, the tangibility of a Justice League director’s cut is growing daily, but confirmation has yet to expel itself from the horse’s mouth. Although Dceu storyboard artist Jay Oliva revealed late last week that the entirety of “Zack’s vision” was indeed shot, the “100% polished” version does not exist. At least, not yet.

In the meantime – while we await corroboration that Snyder has indeed called Warner Bros.’ bluff and will foot the bill to complete his cut of Justice League – a new Scanline VFX video has unveiled additional footage from the supergroup feature in which Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) goes toe-to-toe against Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds) and a Parademon.

Additionally, Redditor BeenTryin has juxtaposed the theatrical and extended version for your viewing pleasure, and you can check it out down below.

Henry Cavill Shares New Behind The Scenes Video From Justice League

Coming off arguably their most detrimental misstep yet in the form of Justice League, Warner Bros. doesn’t appear too concerned about the tumultuous past of the Dceu. What with James Wan confirming via Twitter late last week that the first Aquaman trailer will be unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con next month, Shazam! supposedly set to follow suit, and production on Wonder Woman 1984 officially underway, the divisive shared universe isn’t easing off the gas.

Going forward, beyond the fourth live-action film to feature Diana of Themyscira (Gal Gadot), of course, the Dceu is very much up in the air. Given the long-rumored departure of Ben Affleck from the role of Caped Crusader, and Ray Fisher understandably “very upset” with how Cyborg was handled in Justice League, Warner Bros. certainly has their work cut out for them.

Nonetheless, the American entertainment company does seem to be making some headway regarding Man of Steel 2, finally,

Justice League concept artist says Zack Snyder did finish his cut of the movie

Warner Bros. and DC Films may be doing everything they can to move forward from Justice League after the DC blockbuster’s disappointing box office performance last year, but it seems there still remains a passionate section of the fanbase hoping that the studio will release a ‘Snyder Cut’ of the superhero team-up.

While it seems very unlikely that we’ll ever get to see Zack Snyder’s original vision for the movie, Justice League concept artist – and frequent DC animation director – Jay Oliva has revealed that Snyder did in fact deliver a completed version of the film before his departure.

“Zack isn’t the kind of director who creates the film in the edit bay,” said Oliva.” It’s all planned out meticulously from beginning to end. That’s how Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice were done. All of the scenes Zack envisioned was

The Batman Is a Reboot That Still Takes Place in the Dceu?

The Batman Is a Reboot That Still Takes Place in the Dceu?
There have been a ton of rumors surrounding the development of Matt Reeves' The Batman over the last several months. The main debate has shifted from whether or not Ben Affleck will star to whether or not the film will stay in the Dceu. Earlier in the week, it was reported that the DC project will stay out of the Dceu and be linked to the new Joker origin movie that Todd Phillips is currently developing, which will come out under a new banner. Now, it is being reported that the movie will be a reboot and will possibly stay within the Dceu.

The new report comes from Mario-Francisco Robles, who is the Editor-in-Chief of Revenge of the Fans. He appeared on the El Fanboy Podcast and discussed a lot about the Dceu, including The Batman. According to Robles, Matt Reeves is rebooting with a younger version of the

The Future Of The Batman Depends On How Upcoming Dceu Movies Perform

Justice League threw a huge wrench into Warner Bros.’ ambitions of assembling a cinematic universe to rival the McU. Over six months later we’re still experiencing the fallout, with each week bringing word of behind the scenes reshuffles of what and what isn’t going into production. Matt ReevesThe Batman has been hit by this uncertainty more than most projects, with its status not exactly helped by Ben Affleck’s will he/won’t he statements on donning the cowl for a solo movie.

According to the El Fanboy Podcast, Warner Bros. are thinking about telling the tale of a younger Dark Knight and treating it as a standalone film, but that’s not set in stone just yet. If Aquaman and Shazam! bomb, then they’ll place Reeves’ flick in its own continuity. If those two films are smash hits, though, and the Dceu starts a long

BAFTA Announces New Diversity Requirements for Top Awards

The British Academy of Film and Television—producer of the self-titled awards show and prominent funder of UK films—has announced more rigorous criteria for movies based on new diversity standards. The new measures will be applied to the academy’s most prestigious categories: outstanding british film and outstanding debut by a british writer, director, or producer. The revered awards organization (better known as BAFTA), faced a growing backlash at the top of the year when onlookers and critics alike noted that the majority of BAFTA’s nominees were white men. In the category of best director, a female hasn’t been nominated for the title since 2013 when Kathryn Bigelow was considered for “Zero Dark Thirty.” (Ben Affleck won that year for “Argo.”) The organization’s new requirements—to be implemented for 2019—are aimed to shift this controversial trajectory. Projects must now meet half of the following guidelines by BAFTA,

Batman v Superman cinematographer says severe criticism of the film “hurts”

The cinematographer on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has addressed the criticism the film received upon release.

While Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman performed well enough at the box office, the film certainly didn’t land with applause from critics and it also received a mixed reaction from fans.

There was a lot of very strong criticism directed at Snyder, the film, and those who worked on the production. One of those individuals, cinematographer Larry Fong, told ComicBookDebate that he can’t accept some of the reactions to the film:

“Everyone has their opinion. Does everyone have to love the movie? Of course not… visually I feel like me and my crew killed it, so when you hear things about it, it kind of hurts. To be honest the weirdest thing… I’ve never really talked about this. But the weirdest thing, and this has happened a lot,

Rumour: The Batman may take place in the same universe as the Joker origin movie rather than the Dceu

Just days after it was reported that Matt ReevesThe Batman is being eyed as a “reboot for a new standalone franchise”, we have another rumour about the Dark Knight solo movie, this time claiming that it will not be part of the DC Extended Universe, but could instead exist in the same world as Todd Phillips’ Joker origin movie.

According to Forbes’ Mark Hughes, two sources have apparently confirmed to him that early talks have taken place about the possibility of setting the two movies in the same universe – which of course means a new actor donning the cape and cowl (something which seems expected either way at this point given the lack of news about Ben Affleck’s continued involvement with the Dceu).

With the Joker film is gearing up to go into production later this year, presumably ahead of a 2019 release, this potentially means that Warner Bros.
