A Major Batman Character Has Been Confirmed For Gotham’s Season Finale

Even though it hasn’t done the greatest job of expressly stating as such, Gotham‘s fifth and final season has already experienced its share of incremental time jumps. If you’ll recall, the premiere teased Jim Gordon, Harvey Bullock, Penguin and Riddler uniting in order to combat a full-scale invasion, before returning to earlier on the timeline. Of course, “The Trial of Jim Gordon” plainly let us know that its concluding moments jumped forward by a month.

Oddly enough, “I am Bane” seemed to take a considerable leap forward because the freshly impregnated Barbara Kean was all but ready to deliver her baby. In fact, she did just as much by the time said installment was over, after bravely mowing down Bane’s henchmen while Lee Thompkins pushed her around in a wheelchair.

As fate would have it, the offspring of Barbara Kean and Jim Gordon turned out to be a little girl,

The actor spilled the tea while reuniting with his co-stars during a panel at the 2019 Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo. "I'm 80 years old on the inside," he joked while pointing towards his chest, per the Chicago Tribune. "In here, pure darkness—and a little moisturizer." Rudd was joined onstage by his former co-stars Alicia Silverstone, Breckin Meyer and Donald Faison. As fans will recall, Rudd played Josh in the 1995 film while Silverstone played Cher. Faison played Murray and Meyer played...

Clueless Cast Reunion Exposes Secret Behind Paul Rudd Never Aging

Clueless Cast Reunion Exposes Secret Behind Paul Rudd Never Aging
The cast of Clueless got together at Chicago's C2E2 expo this weekend to celebrate the 24th anniversary of the classic movie. Paul Rudd, who is approaching 50-years old, doesn't seem to age and, thanks to fellow castmate Breckin Myer, we may now finally know why. Rudd and Myer appeared on stage with co-stars Alicia Silverstone and Donald Faison and talked about making the movie along with Brittany Murphy, who sadly passed away ten years ago. Stacey Dash did not join the cast this weekend.

While taking questions from the enthusiastic crowd, Paul Rudd was asked how he never ages. The Avengers: Endgame star quickly quipped, "I'm 80-years-old on the inside. It's a mess underneath all this." The response got a laughs from his fellow Clueless castmates and the audience, but Breckin Myer took it one step further in explaining Rudd's youthful looks. He explains.

The Lodge Review: The Next Elevated Horror Gem

The Lodge is the best horror movie out of Sundance and a slow boil chiller where you won't know who is haunting who.

For years now, the Sundance Film Festival has been a staging ground to announce exciting new voices in horror cinema. The Babadook, It Follows, The Witch, and Hereditary all either got their start or built hellish momentum among the snowy slopes of Park City in recent fests past. So perhaps it’s fitting then that the clear heir apparent in 2019 is a film all about what old terrors can thaw in one’s mind when the ground outside freezes over.

As directors Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz’s follow-up to Goodnight Mommy, The Lodge is another unsettling sleight of hand about the constricting nature of familial bonds, especially when there is no actual familiarity between you and the person at the other end of a rope. A

Sundance Film Festival 2019 Review – The Lodge

The Lodge, 2019.

Directed by Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz.

Starring Riley Keough, Richard Armitage, Jaeden Lieberher, Alicia Silverstone, Lia McHugh, and Danny Keough.

Synopsis:

The Lodge tells the psychologically chilling tale of a woman (Riley Keough) and her new stepchildren isolated in the family’s remote winter cabin, locked away to dredge up the mysteries of her dark past and the losses that seem to haunt them all.

You know you’re in for a wild ride when a film opens with a literal gunshot to the head. If you thought directors Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz are not messing around with their follow up to Goodnight Mommy. Taking cues from classic films ranging from Rebecca, to The Thing and a little The Shining sprinkled around, The Lodge is posed to be 2019’s first horror sensation.

After their mom (Alicia Silverstone) kills herself, Aidan (Jaeden Lieberher) and Mia (Lia McHugh

Sundance Film Review: ‘The Lodge’

Sundance Film Review: ‘The Lodge’
As close to a breakout as there seems to be among the disappointing crop of horror films in Sundance’s Midnight section this year, Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala’s “The Lodge” extends the creepy-domestic-crisis tension of their 2014 Austrian debut “Goodnight Mommy” a bit further toward conventional chiller terrain. Once again, children and a maternal figure are left in a social isolation that proves very bad for somebody’s (perhaps everybody’s) mental health, though this time the supernatural is also a possible factor.

In fact, there are too many explanations dangled here, to ends somewhat frustratingly contradictory rather than usefully ambiguous. That will irk mainstream horror fans, as will a pace that at times seems less slow-burning than just plain slow. English-language “The Lodge” is atmospheric and intriguing enough to appeal to more adventurous viewers. Still, it’s too much of a low-key mixed bag to repeat the significant
