Vote for Your Favorite '90s Heartthrob
In the '90s, were there three letters dreamier than J-t-t? Maybe you say, indeed there were. Thanks to the popularity of Home Improvement, Jonathan Taylor Thomas became one of the most popular heartthrobs during that decade, adorning many teenagers' walls and now-defunct teen magazines with his smiling presence. Joining him were the likes of Jared Leto, who played bad boy Jordan Catalano on MTV's short-lived cult teen series My So-Called Life. He was so good at staring. And his fans loved—and many still do love—to stare right back at him. And Leonardo DiCaprio...yup, an Og '90s heartthrob. Speaking of bad boys, Ryan Phillippe's...

We Need to Talk About the Guy Who Plays Sebastian in 'Cruel Intentions: The Musical'

Real talk: there are two weeks left to see Cruel Intentions: The Musical before it leaves the stage in New York City and You. Need. To. Go. I've already seen it three times and honestly, I would see it three more. It's literally just like the '90s movie with Ryan Phillippe, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon, and Selma Blair — but with a jukebox musical flair, featuring all of your favorite hits from the '90s. Think "Genie in a Bottle," "Bye, Bye, Bye," and "I'm Just a Girl" fitting perfectly into the plotline all while Sebastian and Kathryn exude their step-sibling lust. But let's be real, the main reason you need to see it is because of the really f--king hot guy who plays Sebastian. Constantine Rousouli is a gift to the world and I don't understand how he is real. Like, just look at this.... A post shared

The Best Original Screenplay Oscar Winners of the 21st Century Ranked, From ‘Her’ to ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’

The Best Original Screenplay Oscar Winners of the 21st Century Ranked, From ‘Her’ to ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’
Compare the movies that have won Best Picture at the Academy Awards to those that have taken home Best Original Screenplay and you’ll find that, as often as not, the latter is the more impressive list. Sometimes they overlap, but when they don’t — “Pulp Fiction” and “Forrest Gump,” “Talk to Her” and “Chicago,” “Melvin and Howard” and “Ordinary People” — it almost feels like a tacit admission that the Academy is throwing a bone to the film that’ll be more fondly remembered than the ultimate winner.

It only makes sense, then, that any number of great filmmakers have been honored in this category without ever winning Best Director or Picture: Quentin Tarantino, Sofia Coppola, Spike Jonze. These wordsmiths are worth celebrating, and these are the best — and worst — of them since 2000.

17. “Crash” (2005)

It likely comes as little surprise that Paul Haggis’ surprise Best Picture winner takes last place on this list,

‘Wish Upon’ DVD Review

Stars: Joey King, Ryan Phillippe, Ki Hong Lee, Mitchell Slaggert, Shannon Purser, Sydney Park, Elisabeth Rohm, Josephine Langford, Alexander Nunez, Sherilyn Fenn | Written by Barbara Marshall | Directed by John R Leonetti

You get what you wish for. It’s a trope that has proliferated movies and literature since the dawn of time. When the concept is done well it typically leads to taut, thrilling movies; when its done wrong… Well you get films like Gremlin.

Wish Upon, whilst not a fantastic example of the genre, is not Gremlin-level bad, but it’s not without its problems. The main of which is a ridiculously selfish lead character whose actions belie what is supposed to be a good natured teen struggling with high school. Think Mean Girls but with death, murder, a monkeys paw (yes, for that is the central conceit All these movies take from) and a lot of dead people.
