Stan Lee Was De-Aged 45 Years For His Avengers: Endgame Cameo

While Marvel Studios have produced countless films that have entranced global audiences, there’s a compelling argument that as fun as these movie are, they’re not exactly pushing the envelope technically. But one aspect of the McU that’s often overlooked is how the studio is continually breaking new ground with CGI de-ageing of its actors. The most prominent and successful example is Samuel L. Jackson in the 1990s-set Captain Marvel, but Avengers: Endgame saw a de-aged Michael Douglas and John Slattery (and an aged Chris Evans) and no one batted an eyelid.

But there was one other actor who was de-aged much more dramatically: Stan Lee. In his painfully brief Endgame cameo, we saw a younger Stan driving past a military base preaching peace and love. It came on the heels of his Captain Marvel cameo, in which he was de-aged to his early 80s.

Samuel L. Jackson’s 10 Most Badass Characters, Ranked by Badassery

Anything vocal that comes out of Samuel L. Jackson's mouth ought to be quoted and placed in a Hollywood Walk of Fame dedicated for his characters. It's not often we get an actor that's good at anything he does. He can make even the most mundane or dirtiest of phrases sound poetic. For that, he is universally loved and anyone who feels otherwise will feel Samuel Jackson's vengeance upon thee.

With the number of badass film characters he has, he might as well have his own museum. He may or may not have threatened us to make a list about him with his legendary vocabulary and a gaze that pierces harder than a .357 Magnum. So hold on to your butts, because here are 10 of Samuel L. Jackson's baddest of the bad (in a good way) film roles.

‘Men In Black: International’ Set To Zap $40M Opening – Early Box Office Projection
Men in Black: International, Sony’s reboot of Men in Black with Thor: Ragnarok thespians Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, arrived on tracking this morning with a $40 million start. The pic opens June 14.

While lower than the $50M-plus three-day total of the previous Will Smith-Tommy Lee Jones movies, Men in Black: International isn’t being launched over the holiday frames like those pics, and it’s the studio’s means of taking the franchise in a new direction. Whether this film pops further will boil down, natch, to reviews and word of mouth.

The original 1997 Men in Black opened at a time when the star system still worked at the box office, and it was Smith’s subsequent July 4th opener after being crowned the B.O. king of the holiday with 1996’s Independence Day.

The reported $110M-budgeted MiB: International was co-financed by Hemisphere and Tencent and takes place

Cannes Correspondences #8: Tarantino's Hollywood Elegy and Bdsm Mourning

The Notebook is covering Cannes with an on-going correspondence between critic Leonardo Goi and editor Daniel Kasman.Once Upon a Time... in HollywoodDear Danny, In an interview with Esquire ahead of the world premiere of Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, Quentin Tarantino said something I kept going back to all throughout his latest feature and Palme d’Or contender. “I think of it like my memory piece. Alfonso [Cuarón] had Roma and Mexico City, 1970. I had L. A. and 1969. This is me. (…) And this is my love letter to L.A.” Yesterday, May 21, Cannes woke up to Tarantino’s day. I’d been told there would be days like this, days when the buzz around the Palais du Cinema felt stronger, and the press room would empty out earlier than usual, with critics and festival-goers queuing and fighting for a spot in what was trumpeted as the film of the

‘Pulp Fiction’ 25: What It Was Like at Cannes When the World First Saw Tarantino’s Masterpiece
After taking Sundance by storm with his uber-violent debut feature “Reservoir Dogs” in 1992, two years later the 31-year-old Quentin Tarantino hit the Cannes Film Festival in May with his tour-de-force neo-noir “Pulp Fiction,” which was entered in Competition.

I was knocked out like everyone else by this bravado exercise in cinema style, from the casting of John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson as wordsmith hitmen to Ving Rhames and Uma Thurman as a gangster and his moll to Bruce Willis as Butch the boxer. It’s hard to remember that these roles boosted all their careers, and it’s hard to quantify the impact this violent hardboiled comedy had on hosts of imitators to come.

But the career that truly exploded was high-school dropout Tarantino, whose film school was clerking at an L.A. video store. At Cannes, for my upcoming Entertainment Weekly feature, I whipped out my Sony tape

Spider-man: Far From Home Clip Confirms Mj Knows Peter Parker is Spider-Man

A new clip from Spider-Man: Far From Home has been released and it confirms that Mj (Zendaya) knows Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is Spider-Man. There was a clip that teased that aspect of the story in the new trailer for the film, but a lot of fans thought that Mj was just joking with Peter and that they were just going to brush it off as a joke. But, that’s obviously not the case.

In the clip, Ned (Jacob Batalon) walks into a room while Peter is suiting up in his Stealth Suit with Mj in the room and at that point he admits to Ned that Mj knows about his secret identity. Mj is quick to point out that she figured it out on her own.
