Mile 22 – Review

Here’s the newest effort from another prolific actor/director film making duo. While some directors have a group of actors they repeatedly work with (on stage I guess they’d be the “rep” company), other directors like to cast the same actor in several of their projects. From the “golden age of Hollywood’ there were duos like John Huston with Humphrey Bogart, and John Ford and John Wayne. In the late seventies Martin Scorsese’s lead of choice was Robert DeNiro, while in recent years Leonardo DiCaprio has been a frequent lead. With Steven Spielberg it’s Tom Hanks (after many flicks with Richard Dreyfuss and Harrison Ford). Now in theatres is the fourth collaboration of actor/director Peter Berg and lead actor Mark Wahlberg. Their previous team-ups were all based on true events: Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon, and Patriot’S Day. Now they’ve made a go-for-broke, fictional,

‘Alpha’ Film Review: Early Boy Meets Early Dog in Straightforward Prehistoric Adventure

‘Alpha’ Film Review: Early Boy Meets Early Dog in Straightforward Prehistoric Adventure
Everyone loves a dog who can play basketball, learn karate, save children from wells or help Tom Hanks solve mysteries. Heck, everyone seems to love dogs, period. But where did all that love come from?

Albert Hughes’ “Alpha” tells the story of the first wolf who became man’s best friend, in a film that could have been cheap and saccharine — like so many dog films before — but instead feels almost, but not entirely, mythic.

“Alpha” stars Kodi Smit-McPhee (“X-Men: Apocalypse”) as Keda, a teenage caveman from thousands of years ago, whose father Tau is chief of their tribe. Keda is about to embark on his first hunt, and along the way earns his tattoo of the Big Dipper (which might be important later) but also earns scorn for his inability to kill a captured boar.

“I am Q” Bill Maher revealed during his New Rules segment in which he lampooned Trump supporters latest conspiracy theory, QAnon.

Maher’s final New Rule for the night: “If Trump supporters don’t want us to call them stupid they have to stop coming up with things like Q.”

“Just a few months ago…I was talking about how Republicans are now the Conspiracy Party and that there is nothing so ridiculous they won’t swallow: birth certificate, Chemtrail, Jade Helm, Lizard People, and now we have Q.”

Q, the leader of the QAnon conspiracy theory, is an unidentified person with super-high ‘Q’ level security clearance, “so he knows all the shit that goes on in the Deep State,” Maher giggled. “Namely that our government is riddled with a rogue criminal element that is interested in evil in general, but their specialty is pedophilia.”

Michelle Obama to Hit the Road for September Voter Registration Drive
Washington — Former First Lady Michelle Obama will participate in a voter registration “week of action” from Sept. 22-29, part of a new initiative called When We All Vote.

In a YouTube video that debuted on Monday, Obama said she will be hitting the road to encourage people to register to vote. She called for volunteers to participate in voter registration events across the country and to stage their own events.

“There’s too much at stake to sit on the sidelines, not just in this election, but in every election, and we need your help right now,” she said.

The video was released in commemoration of the Voting Rights Act, which President Lyndon Johnson signed on Aug. 6, 1965.

That week in September, When We All Vote will hold events in Detroit, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Houston, and Milwaukee.

Tom Hanks and Bruce Springsteen Hit the High Seas, Much Different Vessels
Here's Tom Hanks being the Captain, now -- but apparently, being the Boss carries more weight in the waters off Italy. Tom and Rita Wilson were doing the dinghy thing Friday off the island of Capri while their pals, Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa, were not too far maxing and relaxing on the deck of the Rising Sun ... David Geffen's 454-foot luxury yacht.  Looks like someone needs a better travel agent, right? Not really.

Isaac Kappy is back in the news after Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris Jackson, hired armed guards and moved out of her house to protect herself from the outspoken Hollywood pedophile whistleblower. ‘Last Man Standing’ Will Not Mirror ‘Roseanne’s “Issue Of Week” But Tim Allen’s Character “Probably Pro Trump” – TCA
First question of Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing TCA Q&A: Is or is not Mike Baxter a Donald Trump supporter now that he’s on Fox?

After some guffawing from the stage about that being the first question, Allen said it is a “legitimate question” and answered he thinks the guy is likely a “centrist” – the same expression used by Fox TV Group co-chair/CEO Gary Newman in response to a similar question earlier in the day.

Baxter is “probably pro Trump.” But more likely, whatever is good for his business, for the state of Colorado in which the show is set, is what “he’s going to go with,” Allen said of his character.

Ep/showrunner Kevin Abbott, however, does not think Baxter is going to comment on his voting record specifically, though the character is conservative and holds those ideals.

“Oh, yes we will,” Allen pushed back.

Lapd Goes After Thor Actor Accusing Big Stars of Pedophilia

Isaac Kappy is a name that has been floating around internet forums for the last few weeks after he accused actor Seth Green, amongst others, of being part of an underground Hollywood pedophilia ring, though he has since provided zero evidence to back up his claims. Over the past few days, he has been ramping up his social media posts to continue and accuse Green of being a child abuser, along with some big name Hollywood stars, some of which are just too unbelievable, including Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Stephen Colbert, Bill Clinton, and Claire Grant. However, the tables have turned on Kappy, who is reportedly now under investigation by the Lapd for allegedly choking Paris Jackson at a party, threatening gun violence on social media, and harassing Green and his wife.

Isaac Kappy, who is best known for his bit part in 2011's Thor as the pet store clerk,
