2022 Fall TV Guide: All the Best Shows Coming This Year16 of 51
"The Sandman" | Series Premieres on Friday, Aug. 5 on Netflix
After 30 years of development limbo, Neil Gaiman's groundbreaking comic book series is finally coming to our screens. The story will be getting a modern update (jumping from 1989 to 2021) and the first season will explore how Morpheus ends up in our world. We're already blown away by our first look at Tom Sturridge embodying the Lord of Dreams, and can't wait to see the rest of the stellar cast including the gender-swapped take on Lucifer portrayed by "Game of Thrones" favorite Gwendoline Christie, and "Why Women Kill" star Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death.
