September Picks: The Movies and TV You Can't Miss10 of 25
"Vampire Academy" | Series Premieres on Peacock on Thursday, Sept. 15
Plot: Two friends prepare to complete their education and enter vampire society — one as a powerful royal, the other a half-vampire guardian.
Our Take: Based on the YA book series by author Richelle Mead, "Vampire Academy" is the newest offering in the much beloved paranormal romance genre. Executive producer Julie Plec is well suited to bring the supernatural soap opera to life, with a resume that includes three other vampire dramas, including the highly rated "The Vampire Diaries." If you're still on the fence with this one, consider Pelc's description of the series as a "modern-day 'Bridgerton' with vampires." What's not to love? — Adrienne
