Great stunt performers/riggers/coordinators
The men and women who do what most people won't in order to give audiences the full physical experience. If the Academy gave stunt people a category i still wouldn't watch the Oscars, but it'd be nice.

As the most inspirational and diverse action actor of recent years, Alicia Vela-Bailey has emerged from A list stunt double to on screen sensation. Whether it is her chilling performance as Diana in the smash hit "Lights Out" or her acrobatic, ass kicking, portrayal of Alisha Whitley on Marvel's Agents of Shield, it is clear Alicia Vela-Bailey truly is the human special effect.
Vela-Bailey was raised in Kailua, on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. Her mother Cecelia was a ballerina and an artist from North Carolina. Her father Carlos Armando, was a top magician from El Salvador. Having two artistic parents, Vela-Bailey was enrolled in gymnastics and dance at a very young age and quickly climbed the ranks of the Hawaiian Island Twisters, becoming a competitive Level 9 Gymnast. Later, Vela-Bailey shifted more of her focus to dance, becoming a member of Marcelo Pacleb's famous 24-VII Danceforce.
At age 21, Vela-Bailey auditioned to double for Milla Jovovich in the film "Ultraviolet," and subsequently spent four months in Hong Kong and two months in Shanghai doing stunts and martial arts for the film. Ultraviolet was her very first movie experience, as well as her first time doing stunts and martial arts. Her performance earned two nominations for a Taurus World Stunt Award in 2007. Vela-Bailey has continued doubling Hollywood's hottest stars including Charilze Theron, Jennifer Lawrence, and Kate Beckinsale to name a few.
As a dancer, Vela-Bailey booked her very first audition and she became a Pussycat Doll in Las Vegas at Caesar's Palace, before being called to audition for James Cameron's Oscar® winning feature film Avatar. She spent 3 years working on the groundbreaking film as Zoe Saldana's stunt double for the character of Neytiri, as well as playing many different Navi characters including her own character as the Ikran Clan Leader.
Making her way in front of camera in recent years, Vela-Bailey landed the role of Inhuman Alisha Whitley on ABC's hit show "Marvel's Agents of Shield." Having the ability to act and do her own stunts has quickly helped Vela-Bailey become a fan favorite over the last 2 seasons. The fan dubbed "Ginger Ninja" uses her ability to multiply to take on whatever the Marvel Universe throws at her.
Being a huge fan of the horror genre, Vela-Bailey takes pride in scaring the "bejesus" out of people. Her terrifying performances in "The Purge" as the Female Freak and the leather clad Cyber Punk in "Hostel 3" feature Vela-Bailey's unique ability to manipulate her body to create terrifying movement.
This character work caught the eye of director David Sandberg and horror super producer James Wan, who were having trouble finding the correct portrayal for the lead villain Diana in "Lights Out." Blown away by Vela-Bailey's audition, they hired her on the spot and Vela-Bailey created the performance of Diana that had New York Times' Jeannette Catsoulis say "Lights Out delivers frights in old-school ways. Chief among these are the chilling exertions of Alicia Vela-Bailey, who portrays Diana with limber ingenuity. She imbues the spook with devilish intent. Whatever you do, don't blink."
Recently Vela-Bailey has just finished Doubling Gal Gadot on Wonder Women and is collaborating again with David Sandberg and James Wan on "Annabelle 2" as the evil Mrs. Mullins.- Director

In a quest for a lifetime of excitement and adventure Alison Reid pursued a career as a stunt performer. She landed her first stunt at the age of seventeen on The Littlest Hobo and went on to rack up over 300 film and TV stunt credits and become the second female stunt coordinator in North America. Being a stunt coordinator gave Alison the opportunity to work with numerous acclaimed actors, directors and cinematographers - many of whom played a significant role in her development as a director.
Along with her drive for excitement, Alison has an equally strong passion for storytelling. She earned her first professional writing credits in her twenties with two episodes of the CTV television series Katts & Dog (Rin Tin Tin K-9 Cop).
Continuing on her path to be immersed in the creative process, Alison formed Free Spirit Films to make films diverse in genre but similar in their exploration of the human spirit. Under that banner she produced and directed her award winning debut feature film LGBTQ2+ comedy, The Baby Formula (E-One, Warner Bros Digital) which screened at over 50 film festivals worldwide and was chosen to be opening night or closing night film multiple times including at the Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival.
Along with episodic television directing, Alison continues to work on her own passion projects. Most recently she directed, wrote and produced feature documentary, The Woman Who Loves Giraffes (Crave, Zeitgeist Films, Kino Lorber) which won multiple Best Film and Audience Awards and had a robust theatrical release in the USA and Canada. Positive reviews from The New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, Variety and The Wrap contributed to its 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.- Stunts

Anthony Molinari was born in Worcester, Massachusetts to his wonderful parents, William and Joyce, alongside his brother, Billy, and sister, Christina. He earned his degree in Sociology and Education from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. After graduating, he began teaching early elementary education, where he was inspired by one of his students to follow his passion of becoming a stuntman. Soon after, he moved to Hollywood to pursue the entertainment business.
While breaking into the stunt industry and becoming one of the elite performers in that arena, Anthony discovered a love for acting. It started with his performance on the feature film The Fighter, playing Shea Neary opposite Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. That role got him a part in Papa, playing FBI agent John Fletcher across from Giovanni Ribisi and Mika Kelly. While on location in Cuba, he auditioned and booked his next role as Charlie McTiernan for the feature Black Mass with Jesse Plemons and Johnny Depp. It was on that night that Director Scott Copper took Anthony aside and said, "You have what it takes...You should go for it." So that's what he did, and since then he has booked roles like Buzzcut in Jack Reacher across Tom Cruise, Rocky Marciano in Barry Levingston's movie The Survivor, and in Christopher Nolan's pictures Tenet and Oppenheimer. As of 2022 he is a guest star on the HBO TV series Perry Mason playing Big Marv and the menacing Shane Taylor on Barry with Bill Hader. Over the last 20 years, Molinari has performed in over 200 different television shows and feature films. He has been blessed to work with some of the best directors and actors in the business and is truly grateful for his success.- Stunts

Arnold Chon began his training at the age of 5 at the Jhoon Rhee Institute in Virginia. Arnold received his black belt at the age of 11 while training equally hard in gymnastics. Arnold became an Extreme Martial Arts competitor and conquered the competitive martial arts circuit, eventually becoming a NASKA champion and two time Junior Olympic gold medalist in Tae Kwon Do.
After his rise in the competitive martial arts circuit, Arnold moved to Los Angeles to try his hand at Hollywood. Arnold got his chance to show the world what he could do in Mortal Kombat: Conquest. After this, Arnold began working on feature films like Big Mama's House, Epic Movie, and Wild Hogs.
Arnold has also appeared in multiple installments of trilogies and franchises such as Rush Hour and Pirates of the Caribbean. Throughout his career, Arnold has fought the crème de le crème of Martial Arts legends including Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Wesley Snipes, Jean Claude Van Damme, Michael Jai White, and Chuck Norris.
From fighting the best to training the best and sharing his knowledge from a lifetime in the Martial Arts. Arnold has trained MMA fighters to a championship level in his spare time, both in Bellator and the UFC.
Arnold Chon continues to fight with Hollywood's toughest titans, recently taking on Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger in Escape Plan. His more recent film credits as a stuntman include G.I. Joe: Retaliation and The Hangover Part III. Arnold also continues to frequently work in television, where it all started for him. Recently Arnold has done stunts for shows such as Sons of Anarchy, Criminal Minds, and Teen Wolf.
Not only can Arnold Chon perform these amazing feats but he can also coordinate and choreograph stunts and fights sequences that rival the Hong Kong masters. Arnold began coordinator and choreographing back in 2000 on Sisqo's Unleash the Dragon music video. After that he was hired by Hunger Games director, Francis Lawrence, as stunt coordinator for Destiny's Child's Independent Woman from the Charlie's Angel soundtrack.
Arnold Chon continues to work as a stunt man but focuses on stunt coordinating and choreography. As a trainer of MMA champions, it's only natural that Arnold would begin to coordinate and choreograph MMA movies as the current market is in high demand thanks to UFC, making MMA the fastest growing sport in the world. Although Arnold Chon is the most knowledgeable coordinator in on-screen MMA fights, he can coordinate and choreograph for any big project with combat stunts of any kind.- Stunts

Buster started training at the age of eleven in traditional Wado Ryu karate and moved into freestyle, a move which would map out his life for the better. Under the guidance of his Instructors he claimed the British junior title and a place in the "Guinness Book of Records" for the most kicks done at head height in a minute (218, later shattering it to complete 256) at age thirteen, the fighting title he held up to the change to senior level at sixteen and he still holds the Guinness record.
Dominating the men's division from the young age of eighteen he went to Florida to compete in "Gold Coast Classic" which he won in spectacular style against the four time champion. At age nineteen was ranked number one in Europe and at twenty captured the world middleweight ju-jitsu title in New Zealand, the world light-heavyweight title in West Virginia U.S.A at twenty-one and the world heavy-weight title in Reno, Nevada U.S.A at twenty three. Retiring for a short while at twenty five un-defeated in all three weight divisions to concentrate on a stunt career, Buster has been fortunate enough to have worked on a number of blockbuster movies with an extensive background in the martial arts also boxing, gymnastics (county squad) and high diving (north of England champion).
