Oscars 2017: First-Time Nominee Spotlight

Each year the Oscars honor the best and brightest in the film industry, and with that comes the lauding of Hollywood legends as well as the recognition of first-time talents. This year, for the 89th Academy Awards, there are 18 people across the major categories — Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Adapted Screenplay — who have their first chance to take home the coveted golden statuette.
