Surviving Cast of "The Wizard of Oz" - as of June 2018by BWRocks | created - 21 May 2016 | updated - 3 months ago | Public
This list includes all of the surviving cast & crew of "The Wizard of Oz" as of June 2018. I have also notated their specific role(s) and where each of them can be seen in the film. Over the years I have been in touch with everyone on this list. They are all wonderful people and so talented.
I've also included links to articles and interviews and pictures for each person on this list so make sure you read the notes if you have further interest or are looking for more information and resources.
The most recent passings of the cast are: Jerry Maren (98) who passed away on May 24, 2018, Dorothy Barrett (101) who also passed away in May 2018 and Shep Houghton who passed away in December 2016 at the age of 102 (although his death was not widely reported until more than a year later). They were all extremely talented actors and will be greatly missed. As of 2011, Ms. Elaine Mirk was reportedly living. Ms. Mirk played a child munchkin (IMDb does not have a page for her). TCM lists another child munchkin by the name of Viola White (she also does not have a page on IMDb). According to several people that I have spoken to it is unconfirmed if either lady is living, however a majority believe that sadly neither one is.
Although this list is the most accurate and up-to-date, you can also check the FAQs page on IMDb for survivors of the movie; I created it 3 years ago after Ms. Ruth Duccini passed away: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0032138/faq?ref_=tt_faq_sm#.2.1.15.

7. Caren Marsh
Actress | Secrets of a Sorority Girl
She began her career as a radio actress and professional dancer in 1937 shortly after her graduation from Hollywood High School. In 1939 she was signed under contract to MGM Studios and appeared as a dance stand in for Judy Garland in 'The Wizard of Oz' (1939). She later became a free lance actress...
Stand-in for Ms. Garland - Not to be confused with Ms. Bobbie Koshay (who was "Dorothy's" on-camera stand-in and body-double), Ms. Marsh-Doll was the off-camera stand-in for Ms. Garland, and participated in some of the dance routines.
