One of my favourites as a kid. It really did freak me out though. Princess Mombi was terrifying as a kid. The Wheelers weren't much better. I think it holds up well for a 1985 flick with no CGI. The use of clay animation was a masterstroke at The Nome King's mountain. Had not watched it since around 1990 but then so it on TV in 2005 and fell in love with it again.
