Beethovan's Symphony #6 ("Pastoral") is given a mythological setting that I think the composer would have loved, setting it on Mount Olympus and providing fauns, unicorns (and one mulicorn), centaurs and centaurettes, bare-bottomed cupids, winged horses and (by my count) seven gods and goddesses!
