One of my favorites from one of my favorite directors. It's pretty depressing, but also pretty awesome. Also, it's as much about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict as the couple. Still, so good.

Another favorite and another weird, depressing one. It's very arty, and Canadian. The Canadian's are weird. Great love story though.

And another favorite. Not as depressing as some, but still a little depressing. But these two have some fantastic chemistry.

Another favorite. Less depressing than you'd expect for a movie set in the time period it's set in. Also, Rupert Graves, while still pretty hot, was sinfully hot when he was young.

10. Beautiful Thing (1996)

If you can find it, this show is really sweet and funny. I should probably just do a separate tv list for you. TV is, in some ways, better than film at diversity.

So much funnier than it probably should have been. Or maybe it was should have been hilarious, but with all the drama surrounding it's release, I started to think it wouldn't hold up to the hype. It did. Really funny and weirdly sweet.
