XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS SEASON 5 RATINGS

by nikosokilleras | created - 8 months ago | updated - 8 months ago | Public

Up to this point, this season was the best of the show after s.3!!!!!! Lucy Lawless' and Renee O'Connor's chemistry was at it's best and of course their acting was superb. This season had the best emotional and heartbreaking scenes of the show and even though, because of Lawless' pregnancy, the action scenes were fewer compared to the previous seasons, each one of them was spectacular. Most of the villains were really intimidating and awesome (like Zeus, Athena and Antony). This season offered some great concepts and ideas (like Xena and Gabrielle's return from the heaven, the twilight of the Olympian Gods and Xena and Gabrielle sleeping in ice for 25 years). The crossover with "Hercules" was truly epic and I loved how they used here Callisto, Eli, Eve and Ares -who thankfully got much more screen time and development this season-. The last 5 episodes were particularly great and build a really strong momentum!!!!! Unfortunately this season had some problems too. Some villains were poor (like Alti again), a few episodes were too ridiculous and disappointing (the finest example being "Married with Fishsticks") and Xena and Gabrielle were behaving a little weird at times..... Overall rating: 9.4/10
