Top 10 TV Shows of 20176 of 10
5. "Stranger Things" (Netflix)
"Stranger Things" Season 2 had the burden of incredibly high expectations, more than a year of fan theories, and inevitable comparisons to the critically acclaimed and fan-beloved first season. Thankfully, Season 2 did not disappoint. "Stranger Things 2" premiered with a bang on Oct. 27 and broke the previous record set by "13 Reasons Why" in March to become the second most tweeted TV show of 2017, accumulating more than 3.7 million tweets three days after the premiere. The second season of "Stranger Things" was bigger on many levels, filling the town with new characters, introducing more and bigger baddies, and taking the story beyond the confines of Hawkins. Season 2 also saw the rise of new fan favorite Dacre Montgomery (Hawkins' newest and angriest bad boy Billy Hargrove), who shot straight to the no. 1 spot on STARmeter and has been hovering in the top 10 since the premiere. To the surprise of absolutely no one, Netflix announced in early December that "Stranger Things" would be returning for a third season.
