so I wasn't expecting much from this honestly I didn't know anything about it but with the name and and the cover picture on Netflix I was expecting something more silly. It started off pretty strong with some decent character and story development maybe some pacing issues. Then when the trick-or-treaters came that escalated pretty nicely and I even thought it looked cool when everything turned like the pinkish purple color. Then it just started making less sense I kinda had a feeling how it was gonna end seeing is they showed the end at the beginning. It had some creepy scenes visually it was awesome and I great about of blood and violence. I just wish they wouldn't have tried to make it feel like a psa about teen sex and abortion. I also feel like the ending was extremely lazy and didn't offer a good pay off or explanation leaving it up to us to decide. 3/10 11/2 round one

4. Blood Salvage (1990)

So on a positive note it had a special appearance by John Saxon. Other than that the movie was very meh not bad but not good. Whenever a handicapped person is a victim or the target it adds a level of unease. How ever here I felt like they were trying to make a horror comedy and kinda fell flat on both levels. I do think there is enough good or decent ideas here they could have made a decent film. Why can't Hollywood remake *beep* like this that mediocre and make it better rather than take something great like Escape From New York and turn it into crab. Like when they remade The Crazies it was a mediocre to crap to him to start and then turned it into something great anyways back on track I'll be nice cuz of the idea and Saxon and give it a 4.5/10

11/2 round two

5. The Redwood Massacre (2014)

82 min | Horror

What begins as a exciting camping trip to the legendary Redwood murder site, takes a terrifying turn when the innocent campers discover the legend is about to become a nasty and bloody reality.

Director: David Ryan Keith | Stars: Mark Wood, Lisa Cameron, Lisa Livingstone, Rebecca Wilkie

Votes: 2,375

I was in the mood for a slasher movie and since I haven't seen this yet I wanted to give it ago. I'll say that I liked to look of the killer pretty basic but cool looking imo and I liked how violent he was some good bloody death scenes. The acting was pretty terrible the the characters were not very likeable the plot was not really there the backstory was pretty basic. The movie wasn't the worst I have ever seen worth a watch if you want to see some stupid kids getting violently killed but that's about it. Probably won't watch again. 3/10

11/3 round one

6. Treehouse (2014)

TV-MA | 100 min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller

A teenage boy discovers the perpetrators of several brutal kidnappings in his home town.

Director: Michael G. Bartlett | Stars: Dana Melanie, J. Michael Trautmann, Clint James, Darren Kennedy

Votes: 2,500 | Gross: $3.25M

I really wanted to like this the trailer looked good and the idea seemed decent at best. From the opening scene and the development of the story and characters built pretty good. And the more baby bear and Elizabeth interacted the more you care for them or at least I did. I thought the idea of them being stuck in a tree house by dark shadowy onimus creature's was really good and then when they came down and the showed back stories of both baby bear and Elizabeth past made me care for the characters little more and root for them. But then they brought the villains out of the darkness and into the light and it kind of just ruined it those pretty much downhill from them on. And the ending was extremely lazy. I don't know there are partsI liked a lot and there's more parts I did not like might watch again but probably not

4.5/10

11/3 round two

7. Society (1989)

R | 99 min | Comedy, Horror

50 Metascore

An ordinary teenage boy discovers his family is part of a gruesome orgy cult for the social elite.

Director: Brian Yuzna | Stars: Billy Warlock, Concetta D'Agnese, Ben Slack, Evan Richards

Votes: 21,930

Insane. Lol. I thought I had seen this before but after tonight I'm not sure I have I feel o would have remembered that ending sequence lol I regardless it was a fun twisted ride I always like when they show the upper class as the big bad. Movies based on reality are hit or miss and this one was a full on hit. Will be adding to the collection 8/10

11/4

8. Camp Killer (2016)

83 min | Horror

The sheriff of a town plagued by an unstoppable killer Meets up with his nemesis one last time as a pair of survivors complicate matters for the worse. Who will be left standing and what will remain of their sanity?

Director: Shawn Jones | Stars: Jimmyo Burril, Melissa LaMartina, April Monique Burril, Ari Lehman

Votes: 120

Has pacing issues and they do a dick ton of talking. Would have liked more action. How ever it is a fun twist on your typical camp slasher movie. I loved the references to other movies. " they all took their shirts off too pee in a line it was creepy! " lol all in all it was a simi original idea a fun watch some cool deaths pretty good for what it was. Less dialog and more action would've made it better. But what really makes me like it as much as I do is that Chainsaw Sally is in it love her. 6/10

11/5 round one

9. Dead Body (2017)

85 min | Horror, Mystery

Nine high school students celebrate graduation at a secluded home in the wilderness. Once the party dies down they play a game: Dead Body. But when one of them actually murders someone, it's up to the group to ferret out the real murderer.

Director: Bobbin Ramsey | Stars: Jay Myers, Spencer Hamp, Rachel Brun, Cooper Hopkins

Votes: 1,129

Was not at all what I expected overall. That being said I figured out who the killer was and even the motive about a half an hour into it. Keep in mind in jaded and watch too much TV, horror and ID lol regardless it's a fun movie pretty original some really good deaths on the downside it's a bit predictable but I will revisit this and suggested the other. 7/10

11/5 round two

10. Lady Belladonna's Night Shades (2016)

88 min | Comedy, Horror

Pray you don't become part of her collection

Director: David Salcido | Stars: Tawnya Bass, Jack Lutz, Donny Prosise, Mark Vasconcellos

Votes: 57

" once you go Cupid everything else is stupid!! " LMAO

So lady belladonna at first was simi annoying to me but grew on me as the movie progressed. The first tale in the anthology was last night on Mars. It was actually pretty decent low budget for sure but I thought pretty well done considering the budget and time aspects. The second was called perfect. So yeah it was pretty original in fact my biggest complaint about this was I kinda wanted more. It almost reminded me Serial Mom if that was before she wasn't and a low budget indie film lol The next was the wake up call and it was *beep* stupid. Next Is Wolff's law. More stupid suckage about bullying. The first two segments I dug the rest of the film I hated. 3/10

11/6

11. Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse (2015)

Just watched on Hulu. I have been meaning to watch this for a while. I kept putting it off IDK why really but I'm glad I got around to watching it. It's pretty ridiculous but in a super fun way. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Will probably add to my collection. 7/10

11/7

12. Slither (2006)

R | 95 min | Comedy, Horror, Sci-Fi

Director: James Gunn | Stars: Nathan Fillion, Elizabeth Banks, Michael Rooker, Don Thompson

Votes: 88,830 | Gross: $7.77M

It's been a while since I watched this but it's still insanely fun. It's like Body Snatchers meets Society . So many quotes and references to the movie that make it good to really type out here so I won't I'll just say watch the movie and enjoy it you won't be disappointed 8.5/10

11/7 round two

13. Killer Party (2014)

Not Rated | 80 min | Comedy, Horror

A group of friends get trapped at a baby shower when a mysterious outbreak starts turning people into homicidal maniacs.

Director: Alex Enriquez Drummond | Stars: Atticus Banker, Drew Benda, Stephanie Beran, John Brody

Votes: 214

Watching. Zach had Nick put sunscreen on his back then sits in the sun face up wtf lol. I wanted to like this one but sadly it fell flat all around. It felt confused on if it was a horror comedy or a straight horror movie that just had some humor added. None the less it was meh needed more direction. It worth a watch if you're just looking for something different. Probably won't watch again 3/10

11/8

14. Dead Before Dawn 3D (2012)

R | 88 min | Adventure, Comedy, Horror

Director: April Mullen | Stars: Devon Bostick, Martha MacIsaac, Christopher Lloyd, Brandon Jay McLaren

Votes: 4,273

very mediocre. Had some funny scenes but it was definitely trying way to hard. The payoff was pretty lame as well. the cgi was hard to watch as well. probably won't watch it again. 3/10

11/9

15. Vacancy (2007)

R | 85 min | Horror, Thriller

54 Metascore

A married couple becomes stranded at an isolated motel and finds hidden video cameras in their room. They soon realize that unless they escape, they'll be the next victims of a snuff film.

Director: Nimród Antal | Stars: Kate Beckinsale, Luke Wilson, Frank Whaley, Ethan Embry

Votes: 107,352 | Gross: $19.36M

Pretty original take on the slasher film. Plus I am a Luke Wilson fan. Paced well all around a pretty solid film I'm happy to have it in my collection. I watched the bonus alternate opening and I'm glad they cut it. While it was well shot it would have spoiled the payoff. Also they had almost ten minutes of the snuff videos added so it was nice to see director Nimrod was pretty thorough and his film. Kind of gives me hopes for the second one which I will probably watch tomorrow. 7/10

11/9

16. Cabin Fever (2002)

R | 93 min | Horror

56 Metascore

Director: Eli Roth | Stars: Jordan Ladd, Rider Strong, James DeBello, Cerina Vincent

Votes: 83,666 | Gross: $21.16M

it's been probably 8-10 year's since I watched this. I thought it held up well. Bert was still my favorite character and it's probably my favorite of Roth's movies. But I don't understand why it got a remake.

7/10

11/10

17. Vacancy 2: The First Cut (2008)

R | 86 min | Horror, Thriller

Three young people check into the Meadow View Inn for a night's rest, fully unaware of the inn's sick-minded employees and their nefarious intentions.

Director: Eric Bross | Stars: Agnes Bruckner, David Moscow, Scott Anderson, Arjay Smith

Votes: 8,501

So much meh lol. I wasn't expecting much and I'm was correct in that decision. When the first kill happen and it turned out to be the dude Smith that was staying at the hotel not the hotel workers like the first one I was kind of excited. And then it just kind of went all downhill chaotic into a hot mess pretty mediocre at best not surprised they didn't make it third.

4/10 11/10

18. Bedeviled (2016)

R | 98 min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller

Five friends are terrorized by a supernatural entity after downloading a mysterious app.

Directors: Abel Vang, Burlee Vang | Stars: Saxon Sharbino, Mitchell Edwards, Brandon Soo Hoo, Victory Van Tuyl

Votes: 3,612

meh a lot of meh. Stupid kids with their smart phones. Blah blah technology is evil as is social media and white people. I'm not really sure how I feel about this movie it's full of a bunch of annoying Young people that I don't care for and stupid jump-scares which I don't really care for but I didn't hate it but I also didn't like it I don't know. It had moments I did enjoy.

4/10 11/11

19. Talon Falls (2017)

75 min | Horror

Four teenagers take a road trip to a Halloween scream park. Each one of them is captured and made part of the horrific attraction that they originally thought was fun and games.

Director: Joshua Shreve | Stars: Fred Biggs, Morgan Wiggins, Tim McCain, Matthew Bozone

Votes: 1,031

I went into expecting a typical slasher film and not much more. I like other " haunt" type movies. Hell house llc and funhouse massacre to name a few I've seen recently I enjoyed a lot. This was very enjoyable paced fairly well the main characters I liked and the deaths were pretty brutal but not over the top. I also enjoyed how they killed people and being paid for it but the unsuspecting customer's watching it. Also enjoyed the end. I guess this was filmed in the real talon falls in Kentucky kinda makes me wanna go.

8/10 11/12

20. Murder Party (2007)

Director: Jeremy Saulnier | Stars: Chris Sharp, Kate Porterfield, Tess Porterfield Lovell, Puff Snooty

Votes: 12,294

just watched for the first time tonight. Man what a movie so much fun and actually pretty well done death scenes. I love watching pretentious art kids get hacked up. My biggest complaint was I wish they showed Bill's painting they were dissing. Glad to have picked it up today

8/10 11/13

21. Apocalyptic Horror (2017)

R | 74 min | Horror

A collection of twisted tales of revenge from Director Mike Tack. Experience psychopathic killers, monsters. scarecrows, cowboys and a horor themed documentary in this unique collection of officially selected film festival favourites.

Director: Mike Tack | Stars: Clive Ashenden, Keith Eyles, Richard Nock

Votes: 75

So I'm kind of annoyed I was under the impression that this was a indie anthology with apocalyptic stories. Not director Mike tack just putting his YouTube channel into movie form. Not sure that's what he did but it's sure how it played out. The shorts were okay they lack on pretty much everything except the deaths and effects were pretty solid.

5/10 11/14

22. The Den (2013)

R | 76 min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller

48 Metascore

While studying the habits of web cam chat users from the apparent safety of her own home, a young woman's life begins to spiral out of control after witnessing a grisly murder online.

Director: Zachary Donohue | Stars: Melanie Papalia, David Schlachtenhaufen, Adam Shapiro, Anna Margaret Hollyman

Votes: 15,509

it started off pretty good considering it's not a very original idea and the overall concept was meh. The first half was pretty solid some good and creepy scenes pretty unbelievable that even the cops didn't believe Elizabeth after seeing the first murder I mean cop's sent completely useless. Don't really feel like wasting too much time on this. What really ruined the movie was the hot mess of a end. I liked the violence but I just felt that they could have made it payoff a little better. Don't wanna give any spoilers but I will say I probably won't watch again

4/10 11/15

23. Dead of Knight (2010)

Director: Joe Grisaffi | Stars: George Manley, Scott Frank, Holly Thorson, Sonny Opiela

Votes: 89

this was actually pretty decent considering. It's a pretty original idea although I feel we need more medieval type slasher movies this one had a lot of heart but it also is a low budget indie film with some pacing and acting issues but it makes me wanna check out some of the director's other movies. Worth a watch imo

5/10 11/16

24. Conjoined (2013)

Not Rated | 77 min | Horror

When a lonely man finds out the love of his life has a conjoined twin, who happens to be a serial killer, he must take drastic measures to keep his love life intact while keeping himself out of big trouble.

Director: Joe Grisaffi | Stars: Tom Long, Michelle Ellen Jones, Keefer Barlow, Jake Byrd

Votes: 152

From the director of dead of knight Joe Grisaffi comes actual original take again on the slasher sub genre. This was a delight to watch although the pacing had issues and some of the humor fell a little flat but for being a low budget indie film it's pretty solid. Would watch again and if I see a cheap used DVD I'll pick it up. Joe Grisaffi has something going for him

6/10 11/16

25. Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever (2009)

A high school prom faces a deadly threat: a flesh-eating virus that spreads via a popular brand of bottled water.

Director: Ti West | Stars: Rider Strong, Noah Segan, Alexi Wasser, Rusty Kelley

Votes: 15,132

finally gave this gross gore fest a go. I did enjoy the first one. I will say I didn't care for the opening or closing animation. I also didn't really care for this movie that much at all the gore and Deputy Winston I made this movie kind of fun to watch but it's still a hit mess. Not as bad as I thought it would be but that's not saying a lot.

4/10 11/17

26. Bee Sting 2: Bear Sting (2016)

76 min | Comedy, Horror

Campy homage to 80's slasher flicks, Bee Sting 2: Bear Sting is the sequel to the hit horror-comedy based on the Graphic Novel by Matthew D. Smith and Jeremy Massie.

Director: William Grammer | Stars: David Soulen, Jessica Johnson, Kimberly Uso, Corinne Grammer

Votes: 35

at first I was thinking this was just another low budget horror comedy don't get me wrong I love those. Having not seen the first one I didn't know much about it but this movie was insanely good and it didn't try to take it self seriously at all I loved that. I will own this and part one.

30. Blood Rage (1987)

Votes: 5,737

when I turn this on earlier today I thought I'd never seen it before but I'm pretty sure after watching is that I have seen it just lay back in the day. The Practical effects are cheesy everything is pretty much easy about this which is your typical eighties cheese Slasher but this one's a little bit different but the same I mean I don't know it's a lot of fun to watch but there's probably a reason why it's not more mainstream but don't cut it short and it definitely is not cranberry sauce

6/10 11/21

31. Motel Hell (1980)

Pretty decent. I mean low budget horror derby supernatural horror flick with super hot derby girls. All kidding aside this film is pretty average but very original and a lot of fun to watch. I don't know if a bigger budget would help this but I enjoyed it.

so much meh. This movie while I didn't absolutely hate it I found it was kind of an OK watch but it was also extremely frustrating and I was super annoyed by the cover art looking like one of these kids turns out birdman is a fat dickless redneck with a six arm suit that does bath salts you know my kind of people lol

Director: Jeremy Saulnier | Stars: Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, Alia Shawkat, Patrick Stewart

Votes: 139,178 | Gross: $3.22M

This movie had a lot of hype I heard before watching it. It built a lot of tension and suspense it also had some graphic scenes and it also had a lot of really unlikable stupid characters pacing issues but all that aside I wish they would have had more Patrick Stewart being involved in the movie. I will say it was quite an enjoyable watch Pretty original I did enjoy it quite a bit although It did have its issues like the scene where the band takes stage play Nazi punks they probably would have been killed right there on stage in real life and the fact that like they broke through the floor to another room underneath like the Nazis wouldn't realize that they were in that room above the room they had access to all the petty things aside it was really good movie pretty suspenseful has flaws but really well done

The movie is a very low budget indie horror film. But even though it doesn't have much originality or budget or even acting ability it has heart. I feel is they had a better camcorder app on there I phone I'm sure they filmed it on and maybe a camera stand lol. It's a fun watch if you can get past all the low budget flaws like I can. Also this film introduced me too Hope Tomaselli thank you for that lol 6/10 11/29

this movie couldn't or probably wouldn't be made these days. Then again with movies like August underground and Serbian films made maybe it's tame none the less this film is a mess in that IDK if they wanted it to be funny in a offensive way but it is for sure. I'm probably going to hell for finding humor in this but I'm okay with that lol. “She’s a bloody lesbian and a heroin addict. I saw her the other day giving herself a good dose of it. it wasn't great but honestly wasn't terrible either. I feel like it was a mediocre idea just wasn't executed very well. Pretty decent story pretty cheesy, horny nipples, the acting is kinda weird but adds to the film imo pretty sure some of the props for the sets they got at spirit of Halloween stores not talking trash I'm sure they didn't have a huge budget and most of that probably went in to the blood and effects lol

I don't know if a larger budget would have made this movie any better and frankly I love it the way it is. I love how the Hero's are treated in the end also. Fresh lol

good but not great. I liked the idea and the effects even most of the cast just feel the execution feel flat. Will probably watch again but this is a prime example of a movie that would benefit from a remake imo

I feel like the idea was good but wasn't executed very well. It's very slow at parts and that's okay if the payoff is worth it and in this case it just isn't.

so many big names involved in this I love old school sci-fi horror movies. This one had Robert Englund and Sid Haig also it's a Rodger Corman movie James Cameron was involved huge. Anyways I loved it and that worm rape scene lol it had some slow parts but I was also distracted by food but the 80's sci-fi fun and the practical effects made this movie. Who needs good dialogue anyways.

okay so honestly it was pretty meh not as bad as I'd thought it would be but not very good. Some good deaths some bad acting blood and boob's and some laughs pretty predictable but honestly I feel this movie would have been better with a different title. Maybe I'm wrong. I do agree with the imdb rating

all I need from this is some story some substance some meaning. When the two boring side stories came together at the end when I really didn't care anymore it became interesting for like a second and then it ended. IDK who chole is and if she survived was that Andrew or just a rando. Decent idea poorly executed very mediocre
