Editors' Picks: Halloween Special4 of 10
”The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror V” (1994)
When it comes to “The Simpsons” Halloween specials, you can pretty much select any one of the 28 that have aired annually since 1990 and find something to enjoy. But, for me, the one I keep returning to is “Treehouse of Horror V.”
This installment has Homer exploring the butterfly effect via a time travelling toaster; a story about suspicious meat served in the school cafeteria; and most memorably “The Shinning,” a thinly veiled homage to the Stanley Kubrick horror classic (“Shh! You wanna get sued?”). – Michael
