Films on Russian military intervention in Ukraine (Crimea) (2014-present)by vsbihun | created - 25 Oct 2017 | updated - 2 weeks ago | Public
Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2014, later annexing the Crimea and occupying parts of east of Ukraine, factually tearing apart the largest independent European state. Both documentaries and fictions were inspired by these events. Millions of Ukrainians were displaced and thousands of mothers in almost each small town in Ukraine had to bury their children, who fell as soldiers protecting their land on fields of this announced war, tens of Ukrainians became political prisoners in Russian prisons. Yet another geopolitical crucifixion of Ukraine as depicted in cinema.
