Movies Dealing With Trauma

When we think of PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), the first word that generally comes to mind is WAR. But not all the memorable cinematic cases of PTSD were related to some hellish memory of a best friend being blown to pieces in Danang or Okinawa... many critically acclaimed movies dealt with non-veteran or military characters suffering from traumas (though some were war-related).

So, whether from the intensity and brilliance of the acting or the realism and poignancy of the writing, or both, which of these movies best tackled the difficult subject of PTSD?
