Fullmetal Alchemist live action film trilogy

Fullmetal alchemist is one of my favorite anime, and I think its by far the best anime in the world. Not just that, but the best manga as well. I also think that even though a movie based off an anime/manga would suck, I think it can be handled by professional screenwriters and a professional movie director. My point is that we need a good screenplay and a director with drama and an artistic vision. Only then it would be great.
I love both the 2003 anime, and the 2009 anime. Thing about a film trilogy like this is if they have the potential to play the characters well. Wouldn't matter if it was supposed to be directly, it would matter if it entertains you in a way to your standards.
