Stars: Jessica Parker Kennedy, Toby Stephens, Hannah New, Zach McGowan

Votes: 107,325

It does everything I want out of a dramatic story and does it exceptionally well. It's just dark enough and it's just idealistic enough. It can bring you the thrills and the chills and then warm your heart. Probably the best character arcs I've ever seen anywhere. I absolutely love it in the fullest sense of the word.

Stars: Richard Dormer, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Sienna Guillory, Mia Jexen

Votes: 22,262

Oh man, how much talent it'd take to actually describe what Fortitude is. That's just how good and unique it is. It's a thriller with a chunk of slice of life as well as... some unusual elements that I refuse to even categorize to avoid spoiling. It's both extremely true to life. consistent, genuine and absolutely insane in the best possible way. If you like dark stories, interesting believable psychology and things that are unique in every way that counts, this is an absolute gem.

Votes: 48,093

There is dark, there is grimdark, there is depressingly soul-crushingly bleak and then there is Utopia that makes all the previous and everything else in general feel like a small children's song. If you want an uncompromising but smart and tasteful story that faces some very extremely uncomfortable but completely realistic ideas in unflinching and interesting ways, this is it.

Turns out when you combine brutal survival with properly fleshed out characters it's interesting to watch for a long long time.

A show set in the late 1800s, revolving around the characters of Deadwood, South Dakota; a town of deep corruption and crime.

Stars: Timothy Olyphant, Ian McShane, Molly Parker, Brad Dourif

Votes: 110,243

Probably the ultimate slice of life. And not just because it's heavily based on history, which it is, but also because of its presentation, structure and commitment to being genuine.

Looks fantastic and provides with a solid story to follow. Maybe won't become your favorite thing ever, it didn't become mine, but a perfect "What's not to like?" deal if you're into sci-fi.

A heartfelt slice of life about entertainers working for a TV station. Everybody is super lovable and charming, it's almost annoying how much you end up liking and caring about everybody.

Votes: 112,752

The first season is probably the most perfect thriller I've ever seen. The rest is cerebrally impressive as one of the most well-planned long stories but also utterly underwhelming in comparison. And not just to the first season, but to like, everything.

Jane Doe is found in Times Square with no memory and mysterious tattoos on her body.

Stars: Sullivan Stapleton, Jaimie Alexander, Audrey Esparza, Ashley Johnson

Votes: 75,655

A not-so-guilty pleasure. It has all the grace of a greasy burger but guess what, greasy burgers are tasty. If you can look past all the cheese and incredibly implausible scenarios, it has a surprising amount of character depth and touching relationships. And some plot twists are legitimately cool. And then there is the absolutely unhinged badassery of the action scenes of course. Definitely not for everybody, but if you like burgers this is the biggest greasiest burger you've ever seen.
