My picks for the biggest DC film of all time
Note: I would prefer the only heroes featured in the first film be Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Flash, Wonder Woman, and Hawkgirl. However, I picked a few others for sequels. I also think Darkseid should be the only villain in the first, but I picked a few more as well as some C.A.D.M.U.S. characters.
1. Henry Cavill
Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill was born on the Bailiwick of Jersey, a British Crown dependency in the Channel Islands. His mother, Marianne (Dalgliesh), a housewife, was also born on Jersey, and is of Irish, Scottish and English ancestry. Henry's father, Colin Richard Cavill, a stockbroker, is of ...
Richard Crispin Armitage was born and raised in Leicester, England, to Margaret (Hendey), a secretary, and John Armitage, an engineer. He attended Pattison College in Binley Road, Coventry, where he discovered his love for acting. He took part in many theatre productions all over the UK, from ...
Actor | Hustle & Flow
Terrence Howard was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Anita Jeanine Williams (née Hawkins) and Tyrone Howard. He was raised in Cleveland, Ohio. His love for acting came naturally, through summers spent with his great-grandmother, New York stage actress Minnie Gentry. He later began his acting career ...
John Stewart/Green Lantern
Stewart is still the best GL. Plus, after Ryan Reynolds' miserable performance in 2011, the character needs a good actor to redeem him.
Actor | Shame
Michael Fassbender was born in Heidelberg, Germany, to a German father, Josef, and an Irish mother, Adele (originally from Larne, County Antrim, in Northern Ireland). Michael was raised in the town of Killarney, Co. Kerry, in south-west Ireland, where his family moved to when he was two years old. ...
J'onn J'onzz/Martian Manhunter
Fassbender nailed the role of the android in Prometheus. He could play the part of the Martian well.
5. Chris Pine
Actor | Star Trek
Chris Pine was born in Los Angeles. His parents are actors Robert Pine and Gwynne Gilford, and his maternal grandparents were Max M. Gilford, a president of the Hollywood Bar Association, and actress Anne Gwynne. His sister, Katherine Pine, has also acted. Chris's ancestry is Russian Jewish (from ...
Wally West/The Flash
Pine's a great actor, and could definitely nail the role of the cocky JLA member.
Actress | Underworld: Evolution
Kate Beckinsale was born on 26 July 1973 in Hounslow, Middlesex, England, and has resided in London for most of her life. Her mother is Judy Loe, who has appeared in a number of British dramas and sitcoms and continues to work as an actress, predominantly in British television productions. Her ...

Elizabeth Banks was born Elizabeth Mitchell in Pittsfield, a small city in the Berkshires in western Massachusetts near the New York border, on February 10, 1974. She is the daughter of Ann (Wallace), who worked in a bank, and Mark P. Mitchell, a factory worker. Elizabeth describes herself as ...
Banks has the ability to embody the tomboy personality in her acting. I especially liked her work in The Next Three Days. She's tough, attractive, and could nail this part.
Actor | The Walking Dead
Norman Reedus was born in Hollywood, Florida, to Marianne and Norman Reedus. He is of Italian (from his paternal grandmother), English, Scottish, and Irish descent.
Norman's first film was in 'Guillermo Del Toro''s 1997 horror thriller Mimic (1997), where he played the character Jeremy. He has also ...
Oliver Queen/Green Arrow
Actor | Avatar
Samuel Henry John Worthington was born August 2, 1976 in Surrey, England. His parents, Jeanne (Martyn) and Ronald Worthington, a power plant employee, moved the family to Australia when he was six months old, and raised him and his sister Lucinda in Warnbro, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia.
Not my favorite character, but Worthington would do him justice with a good director at his side.
10. Zachary Quinto
Actor | Star Trek
Zachary Quinto was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Margaret J. (McArdle), an Irish-American office worker, and Joseph John Quinto, an Italian-American barber. Zachary graduated from Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, with the class of 1995, where he won Pittsburgh's Gene Kelly Award ...
This character, to me, is essential for a sequel. He's mysterious, a conspirator, and I think perfect for Quinto to portray.
11. Morena Baccarin
Actress | Deadpool
Morena Baccarin was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to actress Vera Setta and journalist Fernando Baccarin. Her uncle was actor Ivan Setta. Morena has Italian and Brazilian Portuguese ancestry. She'd be a good character for a sequel.

American actor and filmmaker Benjamin Géza Affleck-Boldt was born on August 15, 1972 in Berkeley, California, and was raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His mother, Chris Anne (née Boldt), is a school teacher, and his father, Timothy Byers Affleck, is a social worker; the two are divorced. Ben has...

Whoever plays the wizard needs a good voice, so who better than Morpheus.
14. Ron Perlman
Actor | Hand of God
Ron Perlman is a classically-trained actor who has appeared in countless stage plays, feature films and television productions.
Ronald N. Perlman was born April 13, 1950 in Washington Heights, Manhattan, New York. His mother, Dorothy (Rosen), is retired from the City Clerk's Office. His father, ...
15. Jon Hamm
Actor | Mad Men
His acting style is to me, reminiscent of Fassbender's. I think he could play the part of the android well.
Actor | Inception
Joseph Gordon-Levitt has completed production on the untitled Henry Joost/Ariel Schulman sci-fi film for Netflix in which he stars opposite Jamie Foxx and on the independent thriller, 7500, written and directed by Patrick Vollarth. Among his other projects, he is in development on a variety of ...
I'm not sure this character will be necessary, but Levitt's the perfect guy to portray him if he does come up in a sequel.

Hamill is one of the best voice actors. His Joker is legendary, and I picked him for this role after having played the Firelord in the Avatar animated series.
20. Timothy Olyphant
Actor | Justified
From Timothy Olyphant's first screen appearances, such as his two-minute bit in The First Wives Club (1996), to "Nicko", whose presence at times dwarfed the island in A Perfect Getaway (2009), he has been a force to be reckoned with.
Born in Hawaii, Timothy David Olyphant was raised in Modesto, ...
This might seem an odd choice, but think about how great an actor he is, and how he looks in Hitman. It's hard to follow Kevin Spacey's performance in 2006, but I think Olyphant would fit in well with this cast.
21. Javier Bardem
Actor | Skyfall
Javier Bardem is the youngest member of a family of actors that has been making films since the early days of Spanish cinema.
He was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, to actress Pilar Bardem (María del Pilar Bardem Muñoz) and businessman José Carlos Encinas Doussinague. His maternal ...

I think she and Cavill are gonna do great in Man of Steel. No point in a cast change there.
24. Brad Pitt
Actor | Mr. & Mrs. Smith
An actor and producer known as much for his versatility as he is for his handsome face, Golden Globe-winner Brad Pitt's most widely recognized role may be Tyler Durden in Fight Club (1999). However, his portrayals of Billy Beane in Moneyball (2011), and Rusty Ryan in the remake of Ocean's Eleven (...
25. Angela Bassett
Actress | Strange Days
Captivating, gifted, and sensational, Angela Bassett's presence has been felt in theaters and on stages and television screens throughout the world. Angela Evelyn Bassett was born on August 16, 1958 in New York City, to Betty Jane (Gilbert), a social worker, and Daniel Benjamin Bassett, a ...
Her role as this character in Green Lantern was one of the few redeeming aspects of that film.

The role of the media must play a key role in JLA, so it's gonna take a great actor with a lot of energy to portray the enthusiastic reporter.

William McChord Hurt was born in Washington, D.C., to Claire Isabel (McGill) and Alfred McChord Hurt, who worked at the State Department. He was trained at Tufts University and The Juilliard School and has been nominated for four Academy Awards, including the most recent nomination for his ...
I figure the whole President Lex Luthor plot should come up in a sequel, but before that there needs to be a good actor for this role.
