Director: Amy Heckerling | Stars: Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Judge Reinhold, Robert Romanus
Votes: 94,902 | Gross: $27.09M
In my view the greatest teen comedy film of all time. Even slightly better than The Breakfast Club. 9.5/10

A research team in Antarctica is hunted by a shape-shifting alien that assumes the appearance of its victims.
Director: John Carpenter | Stars: Kurt Russell, Wilford Brimley, Keith David, Richard Masur
Votes: 372,425 | Gross: $13.78M
One of the most solid horror films of its time in every respect, and still probably Carpenter's greatest masterpiece. In my view this film easily out does the much more hyped Alien from a few years before. Alien delves into the cheesy realm of dialogue at times where this film remains amazingly tight and realistic despite the sci-fi premise. The metascore is 57? Who are these metamorons? 8.5/10

Votes: 19,355 | Gross: $7.00M
In my view, one of the most underrated films on all of IMDb. This also happens to be a favorite of Quentin Tarantino's. Sure it's a little twisted, but it's a horror film, so in this case twisted is good. 5 point something out of 10, you IMDb voters should be ashamed for *beep* sakes. 8/10
