Clever plot, creative kills and a mystery unsolvable until the very end. I love how all other horror movies exist in the movie, and they are using the horror movie "rules" (ie Never say "I'll be right back") to survive.

Any horror movie fan without this on his top ten list isn't a true horror movie fan.

The tiny tunnels were actually a lot scarier than the monsters that inhabited them. Keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

The scariest movie I have ever seen. I was shaking.

I love the mystery and the creepiness, and the twist ending is great.

10. Saw (2004)

R | 103 min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller

46 Metascore

Two strangers, who awaken in a room with no recollection of how they got there, soon discover they're pawns in a deadly game perpetrated by a notorious serial killer.

Director: James Wan | Stars: Cary Elwes, Leigh Whannell, Danny Glover, Ken Leung

Votes: 362,073 | Gross: $56.00M

This movie gets such a bad wrap. It isn't just mindless torture-porn like the other 40 Saw movies, or Hostel. It has a descent story, much of the gore is shown off-screen, and the twist ending just blows your mind. Let me get this straight: JUST THE FIRST ONE. I refuse to see the other movies in the series just because I don't want it to change my view of this one.
