The lives and trials of a young single woman and her friends, both at work and at home.

Stars: Mary Tyler Moore, Edward Asner, Gavin MacLeod, Valerie Harper

Votes: 5,454

Perfect writing, perfect casting...just a jewel of a show! I wish I worked with them at WGN!

2. The Bob Newhart Show (1972–1978)

TV-G | 30 min | Comedy

The professional and personal misadventures of a psychologist and his family, patients, friends and colleagues.

Stars: Bob Newhart, Suzanne Pleshette, Bill Daily, Marcia Wallace

Votes: 3,820

I loved it as a kid, but appreciate it so much more as an adult. Newhart's timing is pure gold and the supporting cast is superb with Jerry, Howard, Mr. Carlson, Mrs. Bakerman, The Peeper, etc.

3. The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961–1966)

TV-G | 30 min | Comedy, Family

The misadventures of a TV writer both at work and at home.

Stars: Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, Rose Marie, Morey Amsterdam

Votes: 7,197

One of the best physical comics of his (or any) generation, Van Dyke is marvelous. Add a scrumptious young MTM and delightful coworkers and you have a true classic!

4. WKRP in Cincinnati (1978–1982)

TV-PG | 30 min | Comedy

The misadventures of the staff of a struggling Top 40 rock radio station in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Stars: Gary Sandy, Gordon Jump, Loni Anderson, Howard Hesseman

Votes: 6,115

An underrated gem, WKRP will always lag in appreciation due to copywrite issues with the original music. Even with the soundtrack tinkered with, it's pure gold. Who can forget Les, Herb, Jennifer, Venus Flytrap, Dr. Johnny Fever or The Big Guy? The turkey drop episode may be one of the funniest TV episodes ever.

5. Green Acres (1965–1971)

TV-G | 30 min | Comedy, Family

A New York City attorney and his wife attempt to live as genteel farmers in the bizarre community of Hooterville.

Stars: Eddie Albert, Eva Gabor, Tom Lester, Pat Buttram

Votes: 4,434

I'm glad Green Acres is getting more acclaim these days. You have to love Hank Kimbal, Mr. Haney and the rest of the Hooterville universe!

6. Everybody Loves Raymond (1996–2005)

TV-PG | 22 min | Comedy

The comical everyday life of a successful sports columnist and his dysfunctional family.

Stars: Ray Romano, Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Doris Roberts

Votes: 54,483

I had never seen an entire episode during its original run, but fell in love with it on TV Land. Great cast, great chemistry, great writing!

TV-G | 30 min | Comedy, Family

Seven men and women are stranded on an uncharted island following a torrential storm.

Stars: Bob Denver, Alan Hale Jr., Jim Backus, Natalie Schafer

Votes: 10,257

Maybe I have Gilligan too high, but it was so iconic and is such an American classic!

8. The Addams Family (1964–1966)

TV-G | 30 min | Comedy, Family, Horror

The misadventures of a blissfully macabre but extremely loving family.

The inmates of a German World War II prisoner of war camp conduct an espionage and sabotage campaign right under the noses of their warders.

Stars: Bob Crane, Werner Klemperer, John Banner, Richard Dawson

Votes: 6,856

Who would have thought this idea would fly? But with this cast & the eclectic, memorable characters, it works! Even the occassionally appearing cgaracters like Leon Aslin's Gen. Bulkhalter & Howard Cain's Maj. Hochsatetter are memorable & fun to immitate.

11. F Troop (1965–1967)

30 min | Comedy, Western

The misadventures of the staff and neighbors of a remote U.S. Army outpost in the Wild West.

Stars: Forrest Tucker, Larry Storch, Ken Berry, Melody Patterson

Votes: 1,963

I used to get off the school bus, race up the driveway, turn the TV ob & call a buddy so we could sing the F-Troop theme together as it came on. This is such a fun show with some great character actors like Larry Storch, Forrest Tucker & Ken Berry at their peaks.

12. The Munsters (1964–1966)

Not Rated | 30 min | Comedy, Family, Fantasy

A family of friendly monsters have misadventures, never quite understanding why people react to them so strangely.

Stars: Fred Gwynne, Al Lewis, Yvonne De Carlo, Butch Patrick

Votes: 9,470

Although I like The Addams Family a bit better as an adult, I've always loved Herman, Lily, Grandpa and the others.

What a great pairing...probably weven better than the movie duo! I can still hear Felix honking!

The staff of an Army hospital in the Korean War find that laughter is the best way to deal with their situation.

Stars: Alan Alda, Wayne Rogers, Loretta Swit, Jamie Farr

Votes: 43,685

I started watching MASH its first season, as an 8-year-old and have loved it since. Left-wing propoganda? Sure...but still very entertaining & thought-provoking. It may have even gotten better with age and cast changes, unlike most long-running shows.

16. The O'Reilly Factor (1996–2017)

60 min | News, Talk-Show

Fox News Channel news and talk show.

Stars: Bill O'Reilly, Laura Ingraham, Juan Williams, Lis Wiehl

Votes: 3,753

Since VCRs & DVDs have come out, I've rarely had the patience to keep track of TV schedules & wait for one particular show to come on. O'Reilly has been about the only show that I've been willing to tailor my daIy schedule around.

A group of girls, attending a boarding school, tackle issues throughout teenage life and later adulthood.

Stars: Lisa Whelchel, Kim Fields, Mindy Cohn, Nancy McKeon

Votes: 4,603

OK, I admit that part of the reason I enjoyed watching Lisa Whelchel & Nancy McKeon do battle was because they were both hotties. BUT the chemistry & writing were also top-notch & the rest of the cast was stellar.

19. George Lopez (2002–2007)

This has always been a fun show to watch...despite modern day concerns about the occult. (Things were more innocent back in 1964.)

The satiric adventures of a working-class family in the misfit city of Springfield.

A real classic! The Simpsons are just like real people to most of us by now.

105 min | Comedy, Talk-Show

Host Johnny Carson performs comedy routines and chats with various celebrities.

Stars: Johnny Carson, Ed McMahon, Doc Severinsen, Skitch Henderson

Votes: 2,560

I haven't watched much in the 10:30 time slot since Johnny retired. His monologues were awesome. He was maybe his funniest in reacting when his material WASN'T getting a laugh! And who can forget Ed McMahan's patented intro?

24. The Carol Burnett Show (1967–1978)

TV-G | 60 min | Comedy, Family

Television show featuring skits by Carol Burnett and her comedy troupe.

Stars: Carol Burnett, Vicki Lawrence, Harvey Korman, Lyle Waggoner

I spent many hours watching this classic. Since growing up, I can appreciate its movie parodies even more, now that I've seen most of the films it spoofed.

Another classic, this one changed the face of TV sit-coms.
