THE best Indian film of all time. Entertaining, well-acted, and thoroughly memorable; 'Sholay' is Ram Gopal Varma's best film; as well as Bollywood's.

2. Dil Chahta Hai (2001)

Votes: 57,280 | Gross: $0.30M

A solid cast, a believable message, and a enthusiastic plot; makes for a brilliant film. In my opinion, very underrated and should have been even more acclaimed. I mean it was a directional DEBUT from Farhan Akhtar and the guy did an amazing job. See this film RIGHT away.

3. Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003)

54 Metascore

Votes: 53,629 | Gross: $1.79M

The 'perfect' indian film that makes you laugh, cry, and connect. By far, has to Karan Johar's best film. He plays around with a healthy screenplay and outstanding cast. This is also by far, Sharukh Khan's best film. He leaves audiences loving and feeling for his character. Saif Ali also gives a very good performance. He is emotionally reasonable, patient, and joyous. Also, Priety Zinta gives a performance in which, she surprisingly connects.

4. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995)

When Raj meets Simran in Europe, it isn't love at first sight but when Simran moves to India for an arranged marriage, love makes its presence felt.

Votes: 53,633

An uproar of humor, romance, and glamor; it still remains as one of Bollywood's 'well-known' films and as a solid hit. Also, Khan gives one of 'probable' best performances as the 'Full-of-life'-Raj. Kajol is beautiful and dazzling. The two stars have unbelievable chemistry in this film!

5. Hera Pheri (2000)

Not Rated | 156 min | Action, Comedy, Crime

Three unemployed men find the answer to all their money problems when they recieve a call from a kidnapper. However, things do not go as planned.

Director: Priyadarshan | Stars: Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty, Tabu

Votes: 44,116

EXTREMELY low-class and very silly; a person would be wondering how this film makes it to my list???The obvious reason is Hera Pheri is the funniest film I've seen coming from Bollywood. It features a talented cast at their best and a silly; yet irrepressible script. A lot of people have different thoughts on this film, but to me its pure entertainment.
