as Steve Rogers AKA Captain America in two forgettable TV movies about the hero from 1979. It's a good thing they are forgettable.

3. Lou Ferrigno

Actor | The Incredible Hulk

An internationally famous and well respected bodybuilder / actor, Lou Ferrigno first appeared on TV screens in 1977 as the musclebound The Incredible Hulk (1978), the alter ego of meek scientist Bruce Banner. Ferrigno was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1951 and as a child suffered from an ear ...

as the Incredible Hulk. He's turned into a halfway decent actor, but back then he just flexed his muscles.

4. Lynda Carter

as the more famous Diana Prince the Wonder Woman. I never liked her depiction or the show, but at least she wore the right costume.

5. Burt Ward

Actor | Batman

From Caped Crusader to Canine Crusader

Little did aspiring actor Burt Ward know that learning martial arts in addition to his mental and athletic prowess would change his life forever. As a teen-age, Burt had all the makings of a true boy wonder. As an all around athlete, strong in martial arts, ...

as Dick Grayson the Boy Wonder, Robin. Back in the day I liked the TV show, after all I was a child. But even back then I didn't like Burt Ward's characterization of Robin and I ended up being an anti-Robin Batman fan for years due to it before I got over it.

6. Bill Bixby

Actor | The Incredible Hulk

The son of a sales clerk and a department store owner, Bill Bixby was the sixth-generation Californian born as Wilfred Bailey Bixby, on January 22, 1934, in San Francisco, California. An only child growing up in the 1940s and 1950s, he attended schools in the same area, took ballroom dance lessons,...

as David Bruce Banner in the Incredible Hulk. I always like Bill Bixby, and his character was good, but the show was so bad I couldn't stand it. Plus, where did the name David come from?

7. Danny Seagren

Actor | The Electric Company

Danny Seagren was born on November 15, 1943 in Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA as Daniel Morley Seagren. He is known for his work on The Electric Company (1971), The Great Santa Claus Switch (1970) and Sesame Street (1969).

as Spider-Man in the PBS educational show The Electric Company. He didn't say anything and it was just sketches, so I guess his performance was okay.

8. Adam West

Actor | Batman

Adam West was born William West Anderson on September 19, 1928 in Walla Walla, Washington, to parents Otto West Anderson, a farmer, and his wife Audrey V. (Speer), an opera singer. At age 10, Adam had a cache of comic books, and "Batman" made a big impression on him--the comic hero was part bat-man...

as Batman. I liked his Batman back in the day. I like him know. But I came to despise that show and its version of Batman and still do.

9. Alan Ritchson

Actor | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

Alan Ritchson has carved a space for himself on both the large and small screens since he made the trek from a small town in Florida to Los Angeles.

Alan Michael Ritchson was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to Vickie (Harrell), a high school teacher, and David Ritchson, a U.S. Air Force Chief ...

as Arthur Curry AKA Aquaman in Smallville. I never really liked his interpretation of A.C. on the show, even though I love the show.

10. Van Williams

Actor | The Green Hornet

You could shoehorn actor Van Williams right in there between the other tall, dark and drop-jaw gorgeous heartthrobs Tom Tryon and John Gavin of the late 1950s/early 1960s who conveyed a similar bland, heroic image. All three were too often given colorless heroes to play on film and/or TV -- roles ...

as Britt Reid AKA the Green Hornet. Okay, now we've definitely into the liked category. He was cool, debonair and thrilling.

11. John Newton

Actor | Alive

John Newton was born on December 29, 1965 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA as John Haymes Newton. He is an actor, known for Alive (1993), The Christmas Card (2006) and Melrose Place (1992). He has been married to Jennifer Newton since October 7, 2006. They have one child.

as Clark Kent, college student, AKA Superboy in season one of The Adventures of Superboy. I guess the producers weren't too impressed with his performance, but I thought he made a good Superboy.

12. Phil Morris

Actor | Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Phil Morris was born on April 4, 1959 in Iowa City, Iowa, USA as Phillip Morris. He is an actor and writer, known for Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001), Meet the Spartans (2008) and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984). He has been married to Carla Gittelson since September 24, 1983. They have...

as John Jones the Martian Manhunter on Smallville. There's way too little of this character on the show.

13. Bruce Lee

Actor | Meng long guo jiang

Bruce Lee remains the greatest icon of martial arts cinema and a key figure of modern popular media. Had it not been for Bruce Lee and his movies in the early 1970s, it's arguable whether or not the martial arts film genre would have ever penetrated and influenced mainstream North American and ...

as Kato in the Green Hornet. Kato was the real hero in this show and Lee went on to be a big star.

14. Dean Cain

Actor | Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman

Dean Cain was born Dean George Tanaka in Mount Clemens, Michigan, to actress Sharon Thomas Cain and Roger Tanaka. His mother married his adoptive father, director Christopher Cain, when Dean was three. Though he grew up in Malibu and attended Santa Monica High School, his career plans favored ...

as Clark Kent AKA Superman on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. I loved Dean's modern age version Superman.

15. George Reeves

Actor | Adventures of Superman

George Reeves was born George Keefer Brewer in Woolstock, Iowa, to Helen Roberta (Lescher) and Donald C. Brewer. He was of German, English, and Scottish descent. Reeves was raised in Pasadena, California, and educated at Pasadena Junior College. He was a skilled amateur boxer and musician. He ...

as Superman AKA Clark Kent on The Adventures of Superman. I simply adored this show and his version of Superman when I was just a little pre-schooler. In fact his presentation of Superman was my introduction and came before I found out about the comics.

16. Justin Hartley

Actor | This Is Us

Justin Hartley was born on January 29, 1977 in Knoxville, Illinois, USA as Justin Scott Hartley. He is an actor and writer, known for This Is Us (2016), Smallville (2001) and Revenge (2011). as Arthur Curry AKA Aquaman in the never picked up pilot for Aquaman. Now THIS is how Aquaman should be.

17. Kyle Gallner

Actor | American Sniper

Kyle Gallner was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He started his career by following his sister along to one of her auditions.

Perhaps best know for his role as Cassidy "Beaver" Casablancas on the CW's lone hit series, Veronica Mars (2004), actor Kyle Gallner had been appearing in films and on ...

as Bart Allen AKA Impulse on Smallville. I liked his sass.

18. Michael Shanks

Actor | Stargate SG-1

Michael Shanks was born on December 15, 1970 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada as Michael Garrett Shanks. He is an actor and producer, known for Stargate SG-1 (1997), Stargate: Continuum (2008) and Elysium (2013). He has been married to Lexa Doig since August 2, 2003. They have two children.

as Carter Hall the Golden Age Hawkman in Smallville. Shanks completely transcended his Daniel Jackson persona for me with this excellent characterization of a little known but cool superhero.

He has been married to Chrishell Hartley since October 28, 2017. He was previously married to Lindsay Hartley...

as Oliver Queen the Green Arrow in Smallville. (Wow, he is in the list twice.) He has really captured the power of G.A. and made a way for him to be an important part of the show. They should really think about giving him his own series after Smallville is done.

20. Gerard Christopher

Actor | Superboy

Gerard Christopher was born on May 11, 1959 in New York City, New York, USA as Gerard Christopher Dinome. He is an actor and writer, known for Superboy (1988), Sunset Beach (1997) and Tomboy (1985).

as Clark Kent, college student, AKA Superboy in season two and following of The Adventures of Superboy. I always loved Superboy more than Superman and he did a great job of bringing the younger hero to the screen. It was a good choice to bring him in.

21. John Wesley Shipp

Actor | The Flash

John Wesley Shipp was born on January 22, 1955 in Norfolk, Virginia, USA. He is an actor and director, known for The Flash (2014), Dawson's Creek (1998) and NYPD Blue (1993).

as Barry Allen the Flash. I loved this show and his Flash suit looked good! This was in my mind the first prime time superhero show that didn't emphasize the camp and made possible Lois & Clark and Smallville.

22. Patrick Warburton

Actor | The Emperor's New Groove

Patrick Warburton is known to many for the role of "Puddy" in the hit NBC comedy "Seinfeld," the laconic, enigmatic, quirky Saab salesman and Elaine's boyfriend. Warburton starred for 7 seasons on the hit CBS comedy "Rules of Engagement" with David Spade, Oliver Hudson, and Megyn Price about two ...

as the Tick. Warburton brought his usual dry wit and sardonic manner to this great version of this strange superhero.

23. Tom Welling

Actor | Smallville

Tom Welling is probably best known for playing Clark Kent on the hit television series Smallville (2001).

He was born Thomas Joseph Welling in Putnam Valley, New York, to Bonnie and Thomas Welling, who is a retired executive for General Motors. He has a younger brother, Mark Welling, who is also an ...

as Clark Kent AKA Boyscout AKA the Blur and who we all know will someday be Superman in Smallville. Yes, I'm a fan and he's my favorite superhero on TV. I don't want to see his performance end, but it will mean seeing him finally in the suit, flying and as Superman.
