This film is a biopic of Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar, legendary Marathi actor, journey to the peak of popularity, events that shaken his personal and professional life unto his unfortunate demise at early age.

Kashinath is a dental surgeon but mostly does small roles in plays which creates differences between him and his wife.He is refereed Lalya by everyone after one of his character.Kashinath gets to play historical character of Sambaji and creates a history on Marathi stage by becoming the first superstar.—alex.mjacko@gmail.com

Dr Kashinath Ghanekar is a well known dental surgeon in Bombay.But has a passion for stage acting and waiting for his break.Master Dattaram a well known stage director spots the talent in him where he gets his first break which makes history as the first superstar is born on Marathi stage.In coming years he becomes the biggest star where people rush to watch his plays .His passion for acting affects his personal life with his wife Irawati as they don't find time for personal life.Kashinath's talent on stage also fetches him many films and finds a fan cum lover in much younger Kanchan daughter of a senior actor Sulochana Didi who helped him get back to stardom when producers stopped working with him.In mid of career alcohol and ego destroys his stardom.People find a new fan in upcoming actor Dr Shreeram Lagoo thus starting a professional rivalry between them.—alex.mjacko@gmail.com
