"Animal Instinct" is an alternative rock song by Irish band The Cranberries. It is the second single from the band's fourth album, Bury the Hatchet, released in 1999. The song deals with motherhood. A music video, directed by Olivier Dahan, was released to promote the single. The single became the band's first single to miss the UK Top 40, charting at number 54.—Peter-Patrick76 (peter-patrick@mail.com)
A mother of two tries to keep her family together. The mother is holding her children's toy in hand and crying. The blonde mother wears a black or dark brown wig and enters the Children's Aid where her sons are taken care of. She takes them out in rush, but the younger son seems to be unsure if it's her. She reveals herself during driving and they're very happy to be together. After driving a long way they eat at a fast food. She counts hey money and goes away without paying. They sleep one night in the car and one night in a motel. Then the car breaks down and in the final scene a truck picks them up.—Szalai Laci
