11 year old orphan Anne shocks the Cuthberts, who were expecting a boy to help out on their farm. Although Marilla is unimpressed, Matthew is charmed by the child's eccentric ways. Can Marilla be talked out of sending Anne back?
Anne's apology to Mrs Lynde isn't exactly what Marilla had in mind. Later, Anne meets Diana Barry and the two quickly become best friends. Marilla and Matthew begin to see a change in themselves with Anne around.
