- Friday, 7 p.m. Noa Hollander is due to arrive at the Dahari household for dinner any minute and Amalia is hysterical. She pushes a camera into Merav's hands and orders her to take pictures incessantly. She warns Avi and Assaf not to stare at Noa's breasts, not to hug and kiss her, and most importantly she reminds everyone that Amos doesn't live at home! He lives in a rented apartment in Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv, 2nd floor with a balcony, and even brings out a photograph as proof. Avi doesn't understand why they have to lie, but Amalia has no time for questions. Everyone has one goal tonight: "if Noa falls in love with our warm and traditional home, she'll also fall in love with Amos!!" "Since when are we traditional?" Merav asks, and get a threatening look from her mother.
Amos, for whom the memory of the taste of Noa's lips is still fresh since they kissed in London, arrives to pick her up and is surprised to discover her home teeming over with flower bouquets. Noa too was surprised. She just returned from L.A. two hours ago and discovered that a good looking millionaire named Boaz Kessler is determined to take her out on a date. Tsvika of course is all for him. She hasn't yet made up her mind. Amos feels threatened and disappointed. He has a competitor. That's how they set off for Bat Yam.
A knock on the door. Amalia runs to open it, but it isn't Noa and Amos, its Shimrit. Assaf invited her without telling anyone."If Amos can bring a date over, so can I. Equal rights" he claims as Amalia orders him to get rid of her. "She's not a date, she's someone you're trying to take to bed and you're using Noa to do it. Noa is coming for a private dinner! Why are you bringing in strangers?" "So we'll say she's a relative" Assaf responds.
Of course Shimrit hears everything. Not nice. Then Noa and Amos arrive and the festival of lies continues growing as Assaf turns Shimrit into their religious cousin. Then the door opens (again) and Shosh comes barging in carrying a sign that says "Shimshon's Car Shop, My Car Shop". She asks Noa to have her picture taken with the sign to help advertise her son's car shop. Amos get's crabby, but Noa agrees, gladly. Merav takes the picture.
Of course Shosh has no intention of leaving and she stays for dinner, despite the furious faces Amalia throws her way. During the dinner, Amalia shows Noa Amos' drawing book. There are drawings from the time he was in kindergarten in there. It turns out that Amos was accepted to Bezalel (the most prestigious school of the arts in Israel), but dropped out willingly to help his father out in the bakery.
Assaf mentions that he's a singer and even sings a little for Noa. She's impressed and promises to help. Avi tells jokes and despite everything, the dinner turns out into something reminiscent of a pleasant experience, exactly as Amalia had hoped for. They all dance around the pitfalls in perfect harmony, as though putting on a show they had all practiced, while the audience, Noa Hollander, claps her hands. The plan worked, everyone is having fun.
Everyone except for Shimrit. Shimrit is suffering. Assaf is ignoring her, looking only at Noa in admiration, and by mistake also drops a saucy meatball on her lap. Merav is amused. In her anger, Shimrit goes to the bathroom with Assaf to clean up and yells at him that in a moment she's going to tell everyone Merav is a lesbian! The person who overhears that is Avi who happens to be in the next room. On the other side of Bat Yam, in her home, Vanessa is also suffering. She's been trying to get Amos all evening, messaging him, calling, and trying Merav, with no response. She feels there's something going on, something suspicious. Then she discovers what's going on. Her mother tells her that talk in the neighborhood is that Noa Hollander, the Noa Hollander and her Amos the person who was her boyfriend for the last nine years, the father of her future children are dating! And that Noa is now, at this very moment, at Friday night dinner at Amos' house.
Exactly when dessert is being served, the Dahari door opens (again!!!) and Vanessa comes storming in wearing her pajamas. The road to an epic hysterical attack is very short. All cards are on the table and all the lies exposed. Noa discovers that throughout the evening there's been a show put on just for her, she discovers that Amos has lied to her, and almost gets a beating from his crazy ex. At that moment, where Noa is concerned, the dinner is over. She gets up to leave.
Amos drives Noa home. Throughout the drive they don't exchange a word. A minute before Noa gets out of the car, Amos wants to apologize. He lied; he's ashamed, he was wrong. Noa forgives him, but she needs some space. Everything between them is happening too quickly for her.
Amos understands and drives home. But after a few minutes he does a U-turn and goes back. He knocks on her door and confesses. He says he felt something for her from the first moment he saw her, and that that something is constantly growing. He almost says he's in love with her, but the romantic confession is cut short, not because Noa interrupts him, but because Boaz does, the good looking rich guy who filled her house with flowers. It turns out that Noa and he are going out to watch a romantic comedy together, and Amos is a little in the way. He takes the hint and leaves.
Noa tries to explain, but there's no need, Amos understands everything "He's a hot looking millionaire and I am just a guy from Bat Yam without a dime who lives with his parents. Good night Noa". He gets into his car and drives off, understanding that the dream to be with Noa Hollander is just that - a dream.
