Blooper

When Russell, Caroline, Jules and Alton met with Santa, he mentioned Orin and Alice's grandchildren. But all through the rest of the movie, the foursome are wondering if Orin ever made it home from the war and if he and Alice ever reunited.

At the beginning of the scene where they order 'zwei stollen', Caroline starts eating close to the almond paste. However when the scene ends you can see that she had a few bites of the stoll on the opposite side of the almond paste.

The Military Intelligence branch insignia (a rose and sunburst superimposed over a dagger) shown on Orin Newton's World War II uniform jacket was not created until 1962, 17 years after the end of that war. Prior to that, the Military Intelligence branch insignia was a gold shield with a Sphinx on it.
